i finally finished it tonight, and it was amazing. but what was with that ending?! taiga suddenly left for no reason?! or was it to reconcile with her mom, and then she showed back up hiding in that locker after she did that??? i need answers!!

i also just have to rave about it right now, even if i'm a few years late because i loved it so much and have no one to talk to about it :<

She left to reconcile with her mom. The ending scene is graduation day and takes place a year and a half after she left. Thats why she was wearing her new schools uniform and was wanting to surprise ryuugi

I also saw this series this year. It's probably the best comedy/romance series I've seen in years.
Too bad there's not a timeskip sequel, that would be pretty amazing.

It's my favorite... never too late for that timeskip sequel right? What is Tatsuyuki Nagai's next project after Anthem of the Heart anyway? I'm know I dreaming :(

I've just finished TD, and I'm in the same boat as everyone here. Though, my feelings on the ending are : I thought it was a good ending but at the same time I wanted more out of it. I agree that a time skip would've been a perfect way of ending it. I would've forgiven the ending we got, if a couple of seconds after we got a time skip. Now, what I would've wanted in that time skip varies. Hell, I would've preferred a some screen time of their daily lives, or an episode or two dedicated to that (might as well be an OVA at that point). Or maybe a montage of the lives afterwards, from them getting married to them having a child. Kinda like the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Tsukigakirei endings. Now that I think about it, an OVA or two of them being parents would actually be more entertaining to watch. Anywhale before I start getting side tracked my point is, I agree that a time skip would've felt more satisfying.

Ahh this topic is really me, so i will write here.

I just finished to watch toradora now, in 2018 (almost a year after this topic created). I watched this anime because of some peoples in another romance anime's forum who always said "if you search for good romance then watch toradora".

Well, i can understand why peoples recommended it. The whole romance story in it is awesome and at some point really brings my emotion with it, it just like what I expected from JC Staff's romance anime, who always made me said "it is a comedy they said, it is a funny anime they said" (they also do that in adaptation after toradora, like maid sama and sakurasou. Damn JC staff you owe my tears)

But yeah, the ending is a little bit meh because only draws the re-meeting between ryuuji and taiga without further explanation. Maybe i must search for the final chapter of the source to find the clear answer.
