Shizu wasn't with the group that went in the treasury, you don't get to see Nigredo, Albedo's older sister, the events that lead up to that adventurer guy who went with Ainz to check out Shalltear being killed, seeing the assistant butler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Eckleya, the Orb of Death talking to Ainz, some info on some World Class items, and Albedo's absolutely lovely threat against the Nigun and his group for hurting Ainz. :D (Like, the anime her anger was there, but the light novel...it was like "Daaang, she's pissed") Though, I suppose it is necessary, you can't throw in every detail, internal monologue, and all that without taking up a vast amount of time. ^^ (Still would have been nice to get Shizu and Nigredo in, though. ^^) If you haven't read the light novel, but found the anime enjoyable, I HIGHLY suggest giving it a read. If you've read the light novel and haven't yet watched the anime, you'll still enjoy it, but it's nowhere near as epic. :P (But I suppose that's true for every adaptation, but for me, it felt like Overlord had to skip over a bit more) |
