| This is the first tutorial of the club, you are going to learn how to draw manga faces. -Step 1: You need to draw an oval with a cross passing through the middle of itself (both vertically and horizontally). -step 2: Divide the oval in four, like shown in the picture below. The lower one indicates where the nose ends, the middle one where the eyes are placed and higher one determinates the shape of the fringe. -Step 3: Draw the details of the face, keeping in mind the distance between the eyes is the same than the size of a single eye and the ear goes from the eyes to the end of the nose. -Step 4: Draw the hair. To draw the profile of the face you have to follow exactly the same instructions, but you'll have to add a curved line to the side where the face is looking to, this line is to determinate the shape of the part of the face that goes out of the oval.  This is a little tip if you have problems with the position of the head. All you need is a permanent marker, tape and an egg (yes, an egg).  You have to paint a cross in the egg with the marker and use the tape as a holder.  Some exmples:  If you have any doubt about it, ask in this thread. |
