If you pay me, I will :) And no, love is not currency I accept

LovelongSought | May 21, 2008 1:52 PM
I just Wish someone else was going to "AnimeUsa" or "Otakon" since I'll be at both of them this year.

TrIfOrCeShAdOwS | May 21, 2008 1:48 PM
fansview.com has the con schedule for the whole year on it...

LovelongSought | May 21, 2008 11:00 AM
Don't all conventions come around the same time of the year for you since they do for me in MD.

Tachi-Kun | May 21, 2008 10:34 AM
being in NY i we still dont get all the best cons at all.and when we do get some i dont find out till its to late....wtf

LovelongSought | May 21, 2008 10:30 AM
I'm taking the subway so I don't have to pay for parking and I'm going to Otakon one way or another either with my college or father.

Emptyk | May 21, 2008 8:40 AM
*Sigh I'm so jealous of you people who have been to conventions. I'm willing to drive really far, and earn a lot to get there, but I can't drive. T_____T

IRMacGuyver | May 15, 2008 3:16 AM
I understand I just wasn't sure how far you would be willing to drive. Many people came from Alabama, Kentucky, etc. The "big event" of MTAC seems to be the rave they hold.

LovelongSought | May 15, 2008 2:53 AM
I already got my hotel for 2 nights at the cost of 150 USD "Great deal and 100 off coupon from my credit card gift thing, I forgot the name of it".

Plus I can take the subway to be within 10 blocks of it so I don't even need to drive far.

TrIfOrCeShAdOwS | May 15, 2008 2:44 AM
Because Most cons take place in during one of my semesters, it's a big deal to get up on a friday (if I don't have classes) and drive 2-3hrs (AWA) for a con and pay $300 (AWA) for a hotel...

In AL we have small cons that I wouldn't recommend if you are out of state, but they are good if you can just drive to them and back...

I will look into MTAC... but Tennessee is further than Atlanta...

IRMacGuyver | May 15, 2008 2:39 AM
I really want to go to Atlanta for some of their's. One day maybe even go to Dragon Con.

IRMacGuyver | May 15, 2008 2:37 AM
Well I don't know if it's above average but they are trying it's still kind of an amature thing though. There are rumors that Kobayashi the former hot dog champ might show up next year as a romin eating contest judge but I think it's still in the planning stages.

TrIfOrCeShAdOwS | May 15, 2008 2:23 AM
Well to tell the truth, I began Con Going 2 years ago and my first con was AWA 12. Since then I've gone to: AWA 13, Persacon 2007, and Omegacon.

I am trying to go to 5 or more this year, but If not definitely next year... (I'm going to Otakon next year...)

and no I have not been to the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention yet. I am looking for other cons out of state to go to, but They gotta be worth the drive. If you have any above average cons outside of AL please give me some names and descriptions... ^-^

IRMacGuyver | May 15, 2008 2:03 AM
Ever make it to MTAC. TrIfOrCe?

TrIfOrCeShAdOwS | May 15, 2008 1:30 AM
This could be a good idea, but it really comes down to location and accommodations (for the con as well as for the attendees)

I go to AWA and cons in the south-east, but I could go a little further for a con like this.

Tachi-Kun | May 14, 2008 9:48 AM
and you love nothingness right Z

DrZed | May 13, 2008 7:43 PM
Absolutely nothing.

KingAmacius | May 13, 2008 7:37 PM
wat up

DrZed | May 13, 2008 6:51 PM
Who knows? (Or cares...)

IRMacGuyver | May 13, 2008 6:34 PM
Maybe he just meant the MAL convention was a good idea.
