He'll join your party of fighters after a little persuasion. You actually find the guy in a coffin in the basement of an old mansion, but he's not a vampire. He had lots of really creepy experiments done to him before the scientist (Professor Hojo) got tired of it and decided to lock him in a basement for almost 30 years. He finally agrees to join Cloud when he hears that Hojo is still out and about and experimenting on other people.
