We Hate Raw Tomatoes

Once, when you were a child, you had the unfortunate experience of your parent and/or guardian offering you what seemed like a red ball or red slice of fun. Upon pressing this new and exciting ball/slice to your mouth and smooshing it between your teeth, you were met with an inexplicable feeling of disgust and anger. "Why would someone who loved me serve me such a deplorable piece of food? Do they in all actuality despise me?" You may have cursed the heavens or simply spat the filth right where it belonged, in the dirt, trash, toilet, etc. but from that day on you realized your hatred for the terrible fruit, people of this day call "Tomato".
