At the time there were 6 great Kage who had broken many boundaries that had never been surpassed before. The 16th hokage Senju Sakurama was a master of Mokuton( wood release ) as well as having developed a forbidden life jutsu. The 4th amekage ( rain kage ) Uchiha Rin who took the Mangekyo sharingan and the Rinnegan to knew heights never before seen The 28th mizukage Tenki Mizuna who had mastered nearly every water kekkai genkai except Mokuton.. With her variety of Hyoton( ice release ), Ranton( gale release) and Futton ( boil release ) along with being the smartest Kage of all time made her a true genius. The 11th Tsuchikage Jango had the ability to perform genjutsu through vibrations in the earth, this along with fission and the (dust release) made him a truly powerful force to be reckoned with. We also had the 18th Kazekage Kurokin no Sarume ( Sarume of the Black Gold ) who managed to combine Iron sand and Gold to form Black Gold which was not only magnetic but also made him unmatched in a battle of sand. Finally the 25th Raikage Zed also known as the fastest shinobi of all time had stolen the secrets of Hiraishin no jutsu and combined it with the Lightning Armor. The battle raged on for an entire month, then in the closing moments as the dust cleared as people outside the crator saw for the first time through this battle field. The Jyubi was shattered into the 9 tailed beasts who went missing into the world. As the sage was killed and the smoke cleared the sole survivor was the Hokage who took this time to take control of the shinobi world She began her campaign with little to know resistance, reclaiming the entire Fire Country and naming it the Kingdom of Konoha, as she also militarised 90% of the population. The Hidden Rain village somehow knew of this and had relocated long in advance as she came to take over the Hidden Rain village all she found was empty buildings which she then claimed and with the few who were left behind were never heard of again. The battle with the sage had weakened her as she did not have the strength to claim the other villages but she began to amass an army as the villages remained without kage. She retitled herself as the Shokage, and said that she was the only one deserving of the title Kage. You may choose to follow her, you may choose to serve under her, you may be foolish enough to fight against her, or you could seek the truth.
