Not sure where i stoped but it was well before ep-50.
Probably will give it another go at some point i go through anime binges now and then (thats how i got through naruto).

Gintama takes about 50 or so Ep to kicks in because the sheer number of characters (~195), of which about 50-70 is in the first few arc. Consider the fact that Gintama rules this site's top charts. Give it a second go, and let it go trough until the Benezikura arc.

Anyway i checked out the anime for Gintama, couldnt really get into it, is the manga much different???
Ill check out Shokugeki no Shouma. Looks interesting.
