Born in Niigata, Yoko Ishida (燿子石田) won in 1990 an Anime Song Contest that earned her the right to sing the ending song "Otome no Policy" in the smash hit Anime TV series Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, broadcasted in 1993. Since then she has participated in several Anime TV series, as well as releasing the PARA PARA MAX series (Anime songs in PARA PARA style) and her Hyper Yokomix series (Anime songs in ultra dance rhythms). She has also released albums on Japan, United States and Korea over the past decade.
Besides being a professional singer, she has an indie group called J.e.t. with her longtime friend Sugisaki Junichiro. They have released several singles and a full length CD album as well.
