I am a member of the Street Team for Zenkaikon,an anime con on October 17-18 in King of Prussia, PA (right outside of Philadelphia). I will also be gophering full-time and hopefully running a panel (if it gets approved ^_^). I would love to see people from MAL there. The website is http://www.zenkaikon, but if you want to pre-register, you better hurry, as pre-reg ends on September 15 ~_^

Hi i'm new!!!!
I"m going to the Anime con in Chicago...it's my first one....so I wanted to know if this was acceptable....I have auburn (reddish brown) curly hair, I REALLY wanna go as gaara, but his outfit is so expensive I don't wanna buy the wig as well....would it be a great cosplay sin to just wait my hair as is? and wear the gaara costume? I know others have done something similar (done a female version of a male character) I intend to buy the wig next con-I just don't wanna spend all the money in one sitting...what do u guys think???
