And it shows that Cloud has a full respect to the previous owner, Angeal and Zack,
I kinda think that he didnt use it because he's using it as a symbol to make ppl know that Zack was a hero |

Cloud DOES use the Buster Sword...he just chose not to use it after a while since there were other better swords to take its place (Ex: Ultimate Weapon). |

I was surprised when this guy carrying a Buster Sword dare to intervene in a battle against both Sephiroth and Genesis without unsheathing his sword.
So, he is Angeal, the original wielder of the Buster Sword. After the sword ended up in Cloud's hands, he doesn't even use it. |
