The only reason I might actually think of even watching the english version of the movie is because of the Pharaoh - otherwise I stick to the Japanese and I honestly would recommend it to others as well.EPisode 149 is awesome but I hope there's more!!! |

I don't know what to think about 149. I guess I am disappointed that it is a guy pretending to be Yusei, regardless of him downloading his personality and literally becoming him. I hope something massive happens in the next episode or two. |

The Movie premieres in America tomorrow [luckies], but there's been nothing on dates outside there, to my knowledge. Subbed version will probably come out after it gets released on DVD, which is apparently after it's done its cinema run.And thanks, glad you decided to join~ :D |

I'm not convinced, Winlay. Yeah, I've been on the Zonesei bandwagon since possibly not long after it started rolling, but 144 alone doesn't really help the theory. Trollsei Zone using Yusei's form doesn't look as though he's aged a day from 5D's (except the slightly longer hair), while AntiBrunomy's time is clearly some years after the series; hence why he considered Yusei a Legendary Duellist. There's also the matter that he didn't behave like Yusei at all, unless he'd become completely hardened and detached emotionally from all the destruction and death of his friends.Besides, haven't we seen Zone take on Sherry's dad's form? It's possible that Zone could merely be taking on Yusei's form because, as AntiBrunomy said, he gave hope to everyone. Zone could be doing the same thing, trying to inspire hope in his friends that they achieve their goal and do the best for the world outside of Neo-Domino. It's strange that they'd make it all official before Yusei actually confronts Zone and then gets the revelation himself, they did wait ages to show Bru-Bru's transformation into Dark Glass and all they, well after people figured it out. Maybe Zone and Yusei are the same, maybe not, maybe I'm reading into it all too much, but for now, I'll just wait, see and embrace the 5D's we have left ;P. And on the note of Delta Accel Synchro, I think it's AntiBrunomy's way of not only sticking the dagger in, but twisting it. The power from it caused a freaking supernova; you gonna trust that in the hands of your enemy? It's his way of saying 'Yeah, you've got your Synchros, but we've got more power on our side to take you down. Oh yeah, and God too', trying to further undermine Yusei and all the power he's put into trying to achieve Clear Mind. When you think about it, Placido did predict that Accel Synchro could unleash the power to recreate Zero Reverse while Yusei was struggling; maybe at the time it was a bluff, but AntiBrunomy has freaking proved it. Besides, we all know Yusei will get a Delta Accel Synchro: the evolved Shooting Star Dragon at the end of Future Colors, it's just more of Bru-Bru's holding back nature, whipping out the best in order to keep his greatest challenge - the man he regarded as hope and whose face gave him a reason to go on - from recreating his ruined future. I'll just be sad that either one will be sucked into a black hole and disappear forever ;__; /overly-long and speculative post |

Personally, I don't see Sherry's prediction as a literal and physical death of Yusei, but more an internal change inside him of a great magnitude. Should Zonesei turn out to be true (and 144 certainly didn't help XD), then it'll destroy Yusei to know that he could become so twisted and commit such acts against mankind, travelling back in time to make another generation of people - including himself and possibly people he knew- all to do what he justifies as saving the world. Yusei's always worked hard to protect both Satellite and Neo-Domino, both of which are in great danger of being completely eradicated due to Team 5D's racing against the clock. Not to mention Zone is the one who created Yliaster - therefore, it would be Yusei who was responsible for Zero Reverse and killed his own parents; an event that he's been harbouring guilt over for many years already.Yusei's already been put under a lot of strain over the course of the Ark Cradle already; trying to deal with his bleak future, wanting to go alone but having his friends dragged along anyway, being separated from them and unsure how each is doing and now having to face AntiBrunomy with the loser facing death. All before he actually finds out the truth about Zone, and potentially even himself. In short, what I'm basically trying to theorise is that Sherry's prediction could come true; Yusei may die, interally, as the Yusei we know and love, maybe she was betting that if that was the case, they would birth the Zone of the 5D's world. Either way, should he find out there's a terrible fate in the future world and he himself has been the one behind everything, I'd expect him to have a complete breakdown based on Episode 57. Anyway, didn't he die after that? ;P *shot* |
