Mwahaha,, yeah thats true kana =),, haven't been doing any designing now for a while. I'll go check your list out. Ah, nice, like how well all the elements are incorporated in the list. Great job!

Alright guys, I need some help. Just changed my list but my problem is the bottom headers where the totals are after each section. I'm trying to fit them in the images I made for them; however, I'm finding it a diffcult task as the text goes out of the image. Any ideas? Thanks.

now with the background position did you also change the alignment of the left instead of right?? the whole list would look better if the list and background were both aligned to the same side. and im also sure that 300px probly wouldnt be right for what you were doing it would have had to of been adjusted to look the same as in that screen shot.

HaddenIV | Jun 10, 2007 10:08 AM
I just loaded it up in firefox to see exactly how it's rendering in that and it looks as though the top margin isnt rendering at all. in IE7 the list starts at the top of the page rather than down a bit. It should work under IE7 if you use padding-top rather than the margin-top that you are using now. I am not sure why that would make a diffrence but it does...

Another thing that I am noticing is that the whole header is pushed about 300 pixles right of the list its self, my best guess on that without looking at your code again would be that you are missing margins on the list.

While I am probly just getting picky here, another thing I would look into would be how you are aligning the background. the list is aligned to the left, but the background is aligned to the right, to make the whole design more consistant regardless of ones screen resolution they should both be aligned to the same side. Now of course if you aligned the background to the left it would scale correctly but to make it look like it does in your screen shot you would have to push the background a bit to the right which you could do with the following code

div#list_surround
{
background-image: url(yourbackgrond.gif);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: 300px 0px;
}

the first value of the background-position tag will adjust the value to the right and the second will be the value from the top.

Now you are just left with the font size diffrences between IE and firefox as zirgo said, but I dont think that is TO important in making the list look right but if you want me to go over how you can browser proof your font sizes just let me know and I can go over that aswell

Hehe, ok Sora =),, yeah I guess with my resolution it can't be helped.

Zirgo | Jun 10, 2007 5:37 AM
The only difference I can spot is that the top bar menu with the "Complete" "Planning" etc looks a little different from Firefox, probably because of some misinterpretation of the font-size between the two browsers....

HaddenIV | Jun 10, 2007 5:05 AM
Thats a nice looking page you have yourself there, but I am finding it to look a bit diffrent than the screen shot you have of it(IE7).

Zirgo | Jun 10, 2007 4:33 AM
Nice one Sora-Senpai! Though with my resolution 1024x768 it became a little weird as i had to scroll just to see the entries in the list =),, also I think that you could add a little darker blue on the td1 list element. Not much though or else it will spoil the overall feel.

Welcome to the club HaddenIV. Looking forward to seeing the new design when its finished!

Thanks for accepting my request to join. I have plans on changing up my list here in about a week or so using ether a .hack//sign or a tales of phantasia theme, I havent decded quite yet which one that I will choose, but I can say that I plan on making it a bit diffrent than the average layout that people have.

finished 2 days ago Aokaado's list design

my own list looks the same just because I'm too lazy to change back how it was ^^

Zirgo | Jun 9, 2007 12:17 AM
Ahh Ok, thanks! =)
Well, just need to find a graphic tool that you feel comfortable with. I have been a fan of the Photoshop series for a long time, right now i'm running Photoshop CS. But it is a bit heavy on my laptop computer though =).

Cloudrayne | Jun 8, 2007 5:40 PM
both are awesome

oh and about the personal headers, i could figure out how to post them i just know nothing about graphic design, hopefully i can figure it out before the aug-sept contest
