Abel (アベル)A dachshund. The reason why he was named Abel is because, according to Katri, ''somehow it came to mind''. He is Katri's pet dog and is usually like a friend, but when he looks after her livestock, he is her good companion. He is a herding dog and Katri says, ''This dog is an expert at bringing livestock that have left the herd back''. His personality is as hard-working as Katri's, and he is a smart and brave dog, but he is often called ''lazy'' by Katri. Because he is a hunting dog, he is quick on its feet, but if he sees a rabbit or a fox occasionally while working, he will chase after it and leave his post. He loves to eat, and eats sandwiches and grilled fish in addition to the usual dog food made by his servants. By the way, many people see the dachshund for the first time in the series, and because of his unusual appearance of ''long body and short legs'', the people who see Abel often give harsh words to him.Voice Actors
