Manga/anime: awkward around the world

What the..?
I did not know it was a blog option on this site! Even though I've seen the "blog" button a lot of times but not really thought about it :P
So, what should I write about; my addiction to manga? No, I think I know...
I'm from Norway, North-Norway actually, and as a Norwegian I am often alone in my anime or manga loving life.
None of my friends-in-real-life do read manga, so I'm very special among them, and I have to not be speaking about it when I'm with them, since mangas are only comics for them, it's just the same as if I had been reading a lot of Mickey Mouse or some marvel comics.
Of course I do sometimes tell my friends that I’ve been reading this amazing manga lately and that I can't wait to get home to continue reading, but every time I do they get kind of a hollow look in their eyes that keeps me from talking any closer. But no, only here on the internet I feel secure enough to say that manga actually are a really big part of my life!
Why is it so hard for people who are not from China, Japan, or one of those other Asian countries to read manga and then talk about it?
When checking yahoo answers one week ago there was on person who asked the same ting, why is it so hard to discuss face-to-face. I answered that I've been having the same problem and that X should try out this site, myanimelist, where everyone are found of manga/anime! My answer was marked as the Best Answer ^^
- Reading my answer later on I see I really need to improve my English writing skills :P
Well, that’s enough for today, it's night, the clock should me turned one hour back tonight and I really need my sleep!
