YouTube is a great video site which has videos on about every topic you can think of. When it comes to videos on fixing your console it is not the best way. The first reason is that many of the videos are not clear at all. When your inside of your PS3 things can get a little tricky so being able to see exactly what you are doing can be the difference between a working console or a console you took apart trying to fix it but ending up worst than before. The next thing that is wrong with this method is that you have no written guide to go along with it. Like some people I sometimes get lost on watching videos on how to do things, especially long ones.

PS3 YLOD Wrong Fix #2 - Letting Sony Fix It

If you you a proper fix for the YLOD you should never send your console to Sony. They charge $100+ dollars to get your console fixed. That is very overpriced considering that you probably payed $200 or more to get your console. On top of that $100 or more you have to wait over a month to get your console back. That is such a long time to wait when you want to be playing your console. During that time you are probably missing out on playing a videogame like gears of war 3 or MW3 hen they first. These two things are a hassle which why I won't recommend sending your console back to Sony as a proper fix for the YLOD.

Proper Fix For The YLOD- Repairing It Yourself

When it come to the proper fix for the YLOD you should think about doing it yourself using a well-established guide for fixing consoles. These include the best guides to get your console up and running in a matter of days. They are also a lot cheaper than spending a $100 because they only cost around $20-$30. They also usually come with a 60 day money back guarantee that will give you back 100% of your spent money. Some of these guides include the PS3 Light Fix and the YLOD Repair Wizard guides.
