ABOUT ME
First of all, let me say, I do appreciate you taking the time to read this. I have a tendency to be a bit ornery around people, but I really can't blame them if I don't let peoople know who I am, and where I am coming from. That being said, thank you for meeting me halfway.
Now then, I guess we should start wish basic introductions.
My name is Julia. You can't call me that though. You can however call me Julie, Eshie, Scout, Esshuns, SweetSai, Purple Princess, Scoot, or JoJo. I'm fine with any of those.
I'm 18, turning 19 this July, and I live in the great broke state of Nevada, USA. Don't talk trash about Nevada. Only I'm allowed to do that.
Black hair / Brown eyes, blah blah blah blah.
I'm 5'7. Isn't that interesting.
Now we go onto more detailed personality talks.
(Because if there is one thing I got in spades, it's personality)
I'm not a girly girl. I'm a tomboy who happens to enjoy some things that are girly, and some things that are certainly not. I am extremely shy around new people (though much less so on the internet), but once I warm up to a person you will get to see my fullblown crazness. If you're looking for a demure sweet little flower of a girl, keep looking. She ain't here. I'm a bit loud (and I do love the occasional FORRAY INTO CAPSLOCK YEAAAAAAAH), and a lot silly. I enjoy making others laugh. You'll either enjoy that, or find it odd. But I can't be assed to care really.
Watching anime is an experience for me, and not something I do for numbers or statistics. I'm in it for quality, not quantity. I don't care if you've seen more anime than me. That just means your standards are lower *nyuuuu*. There is a reason nothing on my list is rated lower than a 6. I'm not going to sit through crappy anime when I could be out looking for something I really enjoy.
Speaking of animes I enjoy, I tend to go for more "boyish" anime I guess you could say. I'm not much for the whole school girl scene. Though I do greatly enjoy some more girly animes like Air, Love Com, and Cardcaptor Sakura <3 (the show that got me into anime).
I had to stop watching anime throughout high school and focus on my studies, but it's all gravy now, baby~
Alright, now onto talks of likes and dislikes.
The following are some of the things I LIKE
Video Games // Sports // Anime (obviously) // Amusement Parks // Fireworks // Lemons // Hard Candy // Boys~~ // Pandas // Purple // Making Others Laugh // Cosplaying // Conventions (Yay Comic-Con '10!) // Books // Yaoi // Collecting Pictures // People Who Get Me //
The following are some of the things I HATE
Fish // Homophobes // Bugs // People who can't type in proper sentences =3= // PEOPLE WHO CANNOT TAKE A JOKE
As much as I appreciate it, please don't recommend me anime unless I ask. I try to clear out what I want to watch before adding too much more to my plate, and on the (very) off-chance that you actually recommend me something I like, that'll just add more to my plate *sob*
I love random comments, so long as they aren't moronic. Let's save being morons together, until after we chat.
KTHX!

List of Anime Husbandos (to be edited when needed)
Just a list of reference to keep track of all the guys I simply adore in anime / manga I've read / watched so far. There are plenty more characters I really like, but these are the ones that I am crazy about. Spoilers Ahead. You've been warned.
Zaku - Naruto
My Pre-Timeskip Husbando, killed off way too early and way too young. Had awesome ablities and is directly responsible for my hatred of Orochimaru.
Sai - Naruto
My Post-Timeskip Husbando. Naive, yet well-meaning, and possibly on of the most beautiful looking people (real or fictional) I've ever seen. Has awesome jutsu and abilities and did I mention he's FREAKING ADORABLE?
Kaku - One Piece
Initially a sweetheart, always a badass, Kaku stole the show for me in the W7 and EL arcs of One Piece. His adorable "square Usopp" nose, his graciousness and good spirit even at the hands of defeat by Zoro, and his amusing abilities ("YOU LOOK LIKE SHIT KAKU!") all made me fall in love with him. Still hoping he might return in some way shape or form. ;_;
Horo Horo - Shaman King
I first watched Shaman King when I was around 10 years old. I was a very goofy kid. Horo is also a very goofy kid. I liked his hair and the fact that he snowboarded. He'll always have a spot in my heart.
Son Goku - Dragonball
Though he's a superpowered alien, the things I like most about Goku are how human he really is. He has insurmountable strength and power and could rip the entire planet Earth limb from limb. But he doesn't because even greater than the strenghth of his body is the strength of his heart. Add that to a love of food, and an endearing fear of simple medical needles, and I quite dig Son Goku.
Takeshi Yamamoto - Reborn
Goofy, goofy, goofy. I love guys that are goofy. And Yamamoto is pretty darn goofy. Thinking the whole Mafiia scene is a joke for about 10 years. But his loyalty to his friends, and his desire to do the right thing is never in question. He's just a guy that you can't help but like.
Black Star & Death the Kid - Soul Eater
Again, two hilarious and endearing characters I just can't choose between. Death the Kid appears snooty and perfect on the surface but it soon becomes apparent that he's as crazy as the rest of the gang if not more so. His OCD (again, I find almost perfect people with one huge flaw so endearing) makes him fail tests he should have aced, fail missions he should beat, and just act like a complete moron sometimes. You gotta love him for it.
Black Star on the other hand kind of reminds me of Naruto Uzumaki. No family to speak of, longing for acceptance and acknowledgement, guided by a patient and understanding friend who'd do anything for them (Tsubaki is totally Black Star's Iruka, and their interactions together highlight a deep understanding, respect, and love for each other). He's loud, he's crazy, he's egocentric. But he's a good guy.
That's all for now. I'll think of / find more husbandos as the time goes by. C=

January 22nd, 2010
So hey I finally joined MAL
...just when I find out my best friend like isn't active anymore...ORZ.
Heh well that just means I'm going to have to find some new people to hang out with a little bit. It's always good to crack out of your shell, right?
Besides I have a really bad habit of starting animes/mangas and never finishing them. Hopefully keeping a record like this and having a good place to discuss all things nerdy ( I LOVE being nerdy) will break my out of that really bad habit. I'm missing out on such great stuff anyways by doing that...is not good. D:
Anyways here's to the start of something awesome?
(Hopefully)
