I was given a ten-point rating scale, and I intend to use the whole darn thing. My scoring criteria prioritize objectivity, aiming to assess anime and manga solely on aspects like personal enjoyment, art style, character designs, and music. I approach each show without bias, avoiding influence from factors such as authorship, directing, production studio, or voice actors. Before starting a series, I only take into account details like titles, genres, themes, and airing status.
★10 - Masterpiece.
★9 - Outstanding. These series stand as shining examples of the medium's potential. They excel in every facet, leaving an enduring impression with their exceptional storytelling, captivating characters, and masterful execution.
★8 - Excellent. This show demonstrates exceptional quality, captivating audiences with its compelling narrative and impeccable animation, music, characters, and story on multiple fronts.
★7 - Notable. This work displays commendable merit, warranting attention for its engaging storyline and creative execution.
★6 - Solid. This series delivers a satisfactory viewing experience. While enjoyable, it falls short of greatness, leaving room for refinement and enhancement.
★5 - Adequate. Falling within the realm of mediocrity, this production delivers a passable experience without significant highlights or drawbacks. While watchable, it lacks the distinction to leave a lasting impression.
★4 - Mediocre. Struggles to leave a positive impression, this series falls short of expectations with notable flaws overshadowing its redeeming qualities. Rewatching or returning for a sequel is highly unlikely.
★3 - Subpar. Fails to deliver a satisfactory viewing experience, leaving little to no lasting impact. It was easily forgettable amidst its lackluster execution.
★2 - Poor. Its shortcomings are glaring, rendering it a regrettable viewing experience.
★1 - Abysmal. Plummeting to the lowest depths, this work represents a nadir in storytelling and execution. Utterly devoid of redeeming qualities, it is best avoided and consigned to obscurity.
