El cid day 3
Anime Relations: Pokemon
Yesterday was the best day so far, it started off crappy, we had a brunch in the botanic garden but before i had to find everybody since they were all at the other side of the park! We finally had brunch and it was alright. We then met up with the rest of the group and headed to the buses which would take us to the festival. Bob fell ill... And the festival sucked, even though i did get a lot of information... But the music was meh, the pizza too and the weather was way too hot for me... But we relaxed in the grass for a few hours and then headed off. We went to the peli bar and played wherewolves and had some korean drink. I talked to some japanese seniors and drank a beer with chris. But my bag got lost and wasn't found until the morning after.. We quickly left and went to the watersportparty of asopos where i met max and casper and some others :) we head plenty of beers i can say that :) we first danced for an hour inside and then we went out where we took a piss and talked to random dudes and chicks xd we walked by the waterside and then went up to the bar where we had a few drinks and spilled beer on a chick xd we had some chips drank some more outside with casper and his group and then headed to casper where angelo stayed too for a night xd overall it was amazing recapping at 2:30 in the morning.

El cid week day 2

Today was a good day again :)
It all started with me being late... I woke up 10 mins before meeting. We had a delicious english breakfast at asopos. We had toast with bacon and eggs and orange juice... We then headed to our faculties where we had a general ntroduction and then we had some explanations of the study related groups and stuff. We had lunch and had a very interesting conversation with anoma, the assessor of communicatiob of tanuki. We then headed out with chris to the stadsgehoorzaal, there we had a nice lecture about japanstudies. After that we went to the beestenmarkt where we had crazy 88 without a mentor partially. What you had to do was finish 88 assignments to do in 88 minutes. It was a lot of fun. We headed to lumc where we had this disgusting diner and so some did finish their plates but most didn't. We got an ice cream and sat down at van der werff to have a drink and i had some ice tea. After van der werff i went for yet another hospiteeravond. I didn't pass again but did socialise a lot. I then wanted to rejoiny group but after calling to my parents I went to iris and I had a great night with her, all along another great day.

El cid week day 1

Today was a good day. Woke up at 8 got dressed and headed to the beestenmarkt where the general assembly would be. When casper and I got there at 9 we split to see each other again at home. My group had only half of the people and like 3 got there too late, one never showed up and one will join us wednesday. We headed out after 2 hours of waiting and played an introduction game at cafe einstein. We then headed to the pieterskerk where we had lunch and then to the grand opening. I already made some mates and the group is great. The mayor had a nice speech and then the vice-rector. We then headed to some off the mayor studenten verenigingen. We saw minerva where i met an old rugby mate, marco, there we already left some of our group. We then walked around for a bit, had a snack and headed to asopos, we went in a 4 man row boat and had dinner there. I then headed for my intake for my room but didn't pass. I got back and met my group at quintus with only 6 of the original 12 left. There was a debate going on but we couldn't understand a word. So we went to einstein again, had a drink there and then we split up and I went with 3 others to a battle of the bands and it was awesome, catena played awesome songs such as: you give love a bad name by bon jovi, seek and destroy by metallica, an awesome judas priest cover, i wanna rock by twisted sister and then came the winner of the night: SSR, they played: sex on fire by kings of leon, grease lightning, take on me by a-ha, welcome to the jungle by guns 'n roses, fortunate son by ccr and then at the encore: Paradise by the dashboard lights by meatloaf. All along an awesome night!!!

Prague general impression

General impression of prague:
People smell, i don't know what it is and i don't mean to be discriminating but they really do.
It's famous for single nights and stag nights: a lot of people were walking around with pub crawling shirts and we ran into lots of drunk people.
Not only soft but also harddrugs are used in prague: we took a subway stairs and on those stairs a dude was injecting heroine.
There are a lot of homeless people but they're all very friendly.
Cabaret and strip shows are one and the same thing: everywhere near wenceslas square at night there are cabaret strip shows with naked women and private rooms.
You can clearly see that prostitution and erotic stuff on its own is pretty normal: on every corner of the streets there's an erotic shop called erotic city and at night on the streets there are prostitutes offering their "services", at night coloured people invite you to sex shows but the strangest thing was the couple humping on the street.
In prague there are lot of asians: i've never seen so many asians and asian restaurants in a capital as I saw in prague, there wasn't one street where we wouldn't run into asians!
For a capital i think prague is really safe: not only could we walk freely at night without being harassed except for maybe a random dude who'd step up to you and say: "mate, do you smoke grass? You got some?" And also the amount of police on the streets: first of all prague has a national police force but also a communal/city police force which means that there are policemen everywhere you go.
Prague is quite cheap, we had diner for 2 with 2 dishes for little under 20€! Also the shops were pretty cheap.
In a radius of one kilometer there are 10 fastfood chains: 3 burger kings or mcdonalds' within 350 meters of each other! On top of that they are 24/7 open.
Prague is not too crowded, there aren't as many tourists as you would expect for a capital and for example amsterdam is a lot busier.
You can take buses, trams and metro's and they'll take you everywhere for a good price but if you're a good walker you can walk it all too, like we did.
It's a pleasant city with a lot of history and I'd recommend it.

Prague day 7

Well then... Day 7 today was a real tourist day, we did a whole lot of shopping. We set off with a big list of things to do :) which I'm not gonna tell since it's a surprise :) but we had a whole shopping list. We walked around. Went back home. Went for chocolate and more souvenirs and discovered a medieval part of town. We went for refills and back home again. Then we went for an evening stroll, ate at kfc and made a last night walk. We got back and listened to music for like 6 hours only to fall asleep at 5:30.
