Anime Relations: Subete ga F ni Naru
SPOILERS ABOUND!

Ok wtf is up with philosophical things wanting to include pedophelia.
Granted i've only ingested two fictional works so i'd only have two nickels but it's weird that it happened twice.
Are just amacademics skewed to being predators?! dghdfjkghkjhgf
Anyway seriously, for anyone about to watch Subete ga F ni Naru, major pedophelia warning and the MC's are highkey cool with it ;__;
Same with the book Sofie's world by Jostein Gaarder who in order to portray absurdity,,,,,decides,,,,,, to use,,,,,, that theme
Idk tf kinda world that hoe lives in but that shit is not absurd or abstract, it's a real life tragedy of which i'm one of millions of survivors of.

Like it just detracts from an otherwise aight work ya kno??
If anyone reading have any recs of work like these, sans random ass child predators, pls lemme know!

Also going into the medical bit, i wish people wouldn't portray d.i.d. like they did in the anime and lowkey did in the book i also mentioned, the book was wild fam, i still haven't fully processed and still am mildly pissed off lol
Like "Them almost being real humans" quote in the anime when talking about her "multiple personalities" if it was real d.i.d. would be because they *were* real humans and lord the talking to herself scene ugh.
Like if you're gonna further the stigma towards a marginalised group, at least get basic facts right so that the group doesn't have to not only fight against negative stereotypes but also educate what things are wrong OTL
Like pls it's 20fucking22, let's not increase minorities workload if there's gonna be a socially acceptable form of bigotry.

Granted it'd be better to not use it at all but for some reason people find mental illness spoopy and scaawwyyy so i'd rather take babysteps than literally no progress for the last hundreds of years in media

It's also a weird concept overall that people find disabilities so scary they feature them in "horror" elements so often.
It always breaks my suspension of disbelief when a character goes "psycho" cus actual people with psychosis are normal and just have an illness that's probably caused by trauma and some of them are super sweet and/or survivors/veterans, who most people tend to agree shouldn't have to go through retraumatisation or worse things.
So when it happens in media it's like "who are you???? what are you???"

A less severe version that's a more common occurence is like when a show mentions your country or people from your country and they get it wrong and like,,, well i can't stay as focused on the plot now that this dose of ridiculous has landed in my lap

Like what prompted me writing this is because it's so annoying when i otherwise enjoy something and they just gotta add something that the story didn't need that retraumatises me personally. I was luckily safer this time around cus i looked up the content warnings but wuy if i hadn't, i wouldn't be writing this, i'd be in the ER for my safety.
Luckily thanks to content warnings i was able to not only avoid that horrifying experience but also skip through the scenes and enjoy the mystery.
Having to skip through and feeling unsafe though, don't like that. Especially cus i had to search for quite a while to find content warnings.

But ye, so far the ones approaching philosophy in fictional digestible media have either been ridiculous or had weird themes that make no sense to include and detracts from the whole experience for me and is just frankly annoying.
Like yeah i won't die but i'd rather not have to use my mental health toolkit when the subject is philosophy (something that should be safe enough and boring at worst, a la the good place) of all things, so recs are highly encouraged and welcome <3

Unless my joke is correct and this is a thing (tm) in philosophy which in that case i know what imma avoid lol
