Anime Relations: Lucky☆Star
It appears many on My Anime List do their best to score the anime objectively. Such a tendency is understandable, as I have such as well. However, I have recently switch all my scores with subjective ones.
This was done for easy testing of a program I am writting which sorts&filters anime recommendations based off of the recommending anime's score, the number of times recommended, number of recommendations, average score by genres, # of times watched, likelihood of re-watching, start&finished watching date(+duration watching), type(tv/ova/etc), episode length, # of episodes, series score, etc.
The reason for this change, of coarse, is that I do not want shows that I objectively think are good, but personally did not enjoy, to have as high of an effect on the recommendations as shows which I truly enjoyed more.
It is likely that I will revert back to the objective scores as my program progresses. And I will store my personal, subjective score in my tags or on my profile.
I am currently considering tying my AniDB list with my MAL list to create a uniform and likely better recommendations engine (AniDB stores far more advanced data, and it looks like it may be a better than MAL. At the very least it differentiates a harem and a reverse harem).
