What I want/ don't want in a game
It seems like I'm pretty weird when it comes to what kind of games, particularly RPGs, that I like. So to make it easier, I've decided to organize my interests to make it easier for others to understand.
Some things I must have in order to like a game:
+close attention to character development
+ action like qualities. I really don't care for turn-based unless it's on a handheld. If there IS turn based, it has to be unique and offer something like Shadow Hearts or Legend of Dragoon. I can't stand a typical Final Fantasy ATB.
+ good character designs, as well as good character models. if they have character models like Eternal Sonata..that's a no-no. I don't like overly chibi characters, but I don't like super manly guys with nothing but muscles and a grizzled expression.
+ linearity. I hate just wandering around the world map until I find some monster to fight which will give me the next cut scene. I like the story telling me where to go and what to do and then me doing it. I like being taken along for a ride rather than charting out my own course. It keeps me focused on the story, which is more important to me than having the freedom to do what I want.
+ fun sidequests. I like having the freedom to delve even deeper into my character's personality or past by choosing whether or not to go on sidequests.
+ titles and extras. I like having titles or extras in the game, like bonus costumes or events.
+ the ability to regain TP or MP by attacking. I hate having to rely on things like ethers, which aren't sold anywhere in certain games, to regain my magical powers.
+ fighting healer. I love having a fighter master a few different healing moves so I don't have to always back up a healer.
+ the ability to conrol AI. AI can get super annoying in ARPGs, so it's nice to have the ability to control what I want my AI to do.
+ good towns. Some RPGs forgo towns to sell items at save points or only have one town. I like having a large number of towns to visit. I like exploring the towns and talking to different people. It gives me more of a sense of an actual world than just some game.
+ voice acting, and the option of a Japanese voice track. I love good voice acting, and the Japanese track is always welcome.
+ airships or boats. I like having the option of not having to walk everywhere. Warp points are an added bonus
+ few plot holes. I'm looking at you, Eternal Sonata
+ the ability to change my party whenever I want. Inside battle is a bonus (SO4!)
Things I don't like in my RPGS:
- big breasted woman or major fanservice. I'm a girl, I really don't want to see large breasts shoved in my face all the time. I just find it disturbing. Same goes for the skimpy outfits.
- linear/path world map. Think Legend of Dragoon. I like to explore the map on my own without having to follow a path that tells me where I'm going.
- random battles. I mean, seriously? I like seeing my enemy and getting the chance to run before I even enter into a battle.
- "this is you" character. The kind of RPGs where they try to force the role on the player, so the character has no lines or character development. I play RPGs for the story and the character development, not so I can watch my droid run around. Some people say that having a character like that makes them feel like they're in the game, but it doesn't for me. The only way i could feel like I was part of the game is if it were some sort of 3D simulation or if it were in first person perspective. Otherwise I'm looking at another character, and that's how I feel when I play.
- non-linear stories. I don't have much time to play videogames, so I don't really feel the need to wander around aimlessly until I find someone or something to fight that will progress the game. I LIKE being told where to go in order to move the story. Linear plots don't mean you can't stray from the plot at all and do your own thing. People don't seem to realize that.
- sci-fi fantasy. I don't like being surrounded by metal or high-tech soldiers with ray guns. I like my airships, horses, and swords.
- emo main characters. I'm looking at you, Final Fantasy. I didn't like it with Squall, and I don't like it with Noctis.
- weak willed women. I hate the women who can't do anything and stand off to the sides while the burly man does everything.
- shooter RPGs. If I wanted to run around shooting things I'll go play Perfect Dark or 007. I'll have a sword, thanks.
Things I don't care about either way:
- weapons. If you want to sell them to me, okay. If not, okay. But if you don't, there better be some option where my weapons can level up or that my overall strength will make up for it.

今日のしけんがサイテイ！
木曜日先生からしけんをもらいました。 今日はするつもりだったが、むりだった。 ジャックは病気になってかれをめんどする事になった。 本当におこっていた。 とにかく、カミールちゃんもいた、その子はミシグぇーんに行きたくなかったみたい。弟くんといてほしかった。 だから、二人をめんどうしたんだ。まあぁ。。。。大変だった。
