So I got a new job.  Well, it is sort of new.  "New" implies that I had a previous job and unless student is a reasonable position then I have not had a normal reasonable job.  Don't get me wrong, I am no bum.  I have my bachelor's and have been working on my master's for some time now.  And my family owns a chinese restaurant, where I have helped out for many years now but it has never been "traditional" work.  If your family has a business you would understand what I mean.  [and before people go nuts, I assure you that we are chinese.  I am actually a halfie - Half-chinese and Half-caucasian]  Anyway, that being said I have joined the work force with this new job and honestly I will only be there temporarily while I search for the job that I really want, which is why I chose this job because it is third shift:  10 pm - 6:30 am.  Between those fine hours, I am cleaning airplanes at the airport for less pay than the job is worth.  But as the saying goes, some of the happiest people come home smelling to high heaven at night.  This seems to ring true since I think I am fairly happy with how things are turning out.  Though I don't smell to high heaven, I smell like cleaner and I don't come home at night, I come home at 7:00 am in the morning.  I must be nuts.  Either way, that is why this blog is being written at 7:28 am.

ps. I had a really sweet dream last night.  I wore special shoes that enabled me to fly.  I was bouncing all over the place from place to place and I was fighting crime as I came in contact with it or if they messed with me.  The shoes looked like crocs without holes and there was a string like a jump rope that came out from under the shoes and I held it in my hands.  In order to fly, I just had to jump a few times and really believe it would work and I would eventually be soaring.  I wonder if working on planes at night has something to do with this crazy dream.  I had another dream a while back.  I think I am going to make that one into a book because it "made more sense" and just seemed like fun.

Okay, so at this very moment, I am kind of sick.  I think I have the flu or a really really bad cold.  Anyway, I have some of the things that seem to be going around.  It is really annoying.  Actually this is my second bout.  I was sick with something just over a week ago and it lasted a few days.  I got over that and then this new ailment slaps me in the face.  Anyway, that is not the point of this blog.  I am taking a few things for my sickness.  I got some cold-eaze cough drops, some allergy relief capsules [just in case seasonal allergies are just making the cold worse], I use a nazal spray so that I can breathe through my nose at night, and I am taking some mucinex.  I also tried to drink some theraflu, which is about the most nasty tasting stuff on this earth [so the attempt failed].  Needless to say, I am trying to get to sleep and my stomach is rather upset.  So now I am trying to figure out if it is my illness or my remedies which is causing the problem and do you know what really doesn't help.  The fact that every single medication or anything you could possibly digest seems to say that if you do happen to swallow some then you should immediately contact a poison control center.  Everything says this... my nasal spray says this.  And if you spray it in your nose, trust me, you have digested some.  How is anyone supposed to know if they are really in need of medical attention if everything says it.  Dish soap says it.  Mouthwash says it.  Holy crap, I am surprised this warning isn't on food yet.  Maybe we should just stop digesting things all together if it is really so dangerous.  Well the point of this blog is this.  If you put the warning on everything then it means absolutely squat and to be completely honest, I would like to know if I were ever really poisoned.

Anime Relations: Ayashi no Ceres

There isn't really all that much to say but since this is a blog, I can still write anyway.  I am really enjoying this site.  I used to and still do keep track of all of my anime in a few Windows Excel documents.  It is a system that has worked pretty well but there is something special about your opinions counting in a public forum.  For instance, of all the anime which I rated, the lowest rating went to Ayashi no ceres.  Actually, if I was ever forced to rate something as low or near it, I would have to lower it even farther.  I can't really understand how people liked that anime.  I guess there is a shock factor to it that may bring some people to like it.  However, I have utter distain for that series.  Mainly because I have never had an anime make me want to kill myself except Ayashi no Ceres.  At the end of that series, I seriously felt like life wasn't worth living.  I know that is wierd but that is how it made me feel.  Now please don't misunderstand, I am not and have never been suicidal and this was quite a few years back but most the time after finishing a anime there are certain feelings that follow along with it.  After the Evangelion series ended, I felt liberated [which was kind of the point].  After Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, I felt happiness for humanity and hopeful of peace.  After every One Piece Arc, I feel that "Luffy is the man".  Even after scary movies/anime/etc, you may be a bit shocked and have a new appreciation for life.  But After Ayashi no Ceres, I literally wanted to die.  How can anyone like this anime?

P.S.  Before someone tells me to go rewatch it, let me just say, that I will not.  I would not put myself through having to watch that show again.  It was actually a terrible experience.  And yes, I watched the whole series.

Hello all,

I just joined today. How active will I be? Who knows... it is just my first day. Anyway, I watch anime... a lot of it. And it seems alot of you watch anime too. I wonder if you watch more than me? I really hope you don't. Don't get me wrong, I love anime. I just watch way too much. I am pretty sure that DBZ and Robotech are actually gateway drugs. Anyway, please be nice to me.
