Schoolgirls
Anime Relations: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Lucky☆Star
No this blog post is not about lolis, or fetishes about anime chicks in school uniforms. Instead it's about my indulgence into this type of anime genre. My first taste of this type of genre was when I saw a few previews of Azumanga Daioh. It looked really basic at first seeing how I was just previewing it's shorts and highlight moments. A couple months later, I gave in and what happened? I loved the series! Unfortunately the series got licensed before I got to finish them all.
A few months later I heard about this new (not really) hyped anime called "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". Everyone loved this series to death and it was that same genre, "School Girl / Slice of Life". I decided to try it out and watched the first episode....and then suddenly, I began to wtf myself. My brain couldn't take what I was watching. It seemed like pure crap. (Dropped).
Going through the seasonal anime during the time where Gurren Lagann came out, Fall 2007, another one of these animes came out, Lucky Star. Until now, Fall 2008, I have gave in to another one of these type of animes.
(I suck at blogs, don't worry, my grammar and story construction are usually better than this)
I tried Lucky Star. It was random as hell but was funny. After watching, I decided to give Haruhi another chance. Episode 2; was much better than the first and I got interested in what the story would bring.
SO! Cliffs?
I gave in and now I'm interested in all three slice of life, school girl animes;
Azumanga Daioh, Melancholy of Haruhi and Lucky Star.
