currently airing: watching & impression list
Here I am going to record my first impressions of the currently airing anime that I am watching, just to see how they improve and where maybe they go wrong/right.
[FALL 2012]
Aikatsu!
I swear to god, I have a secret thing for idol genres and I don't know why. I guess I find it cute. Well Aikatsu! seems to have potential, but more as a kid show kind of way. So far, it appears like it might be okay, but it might have possible cliché parts and what not. The only thing that really bothered me about this series was that the animation for the dancing was in like 3D then everything else is in 2D. Kind of annoying in my opinion, and I don't see why they don't animate it either, the animation on everything else seems just fine.
Btooom!
This show seems fairly interesting. I am usually not a fan of the booming games this show starts off with, but I love the idea of making it reality, and on some abandoned island. I personally love the survival genre so I hope it continues on the island. The main character seems a lot like Light from Death Note at first, but by the end of the episode he did seem less power thirsty then Light was. Props to him for being a trouper.
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
How the hell am I going to remember this title, lol. I'm going to admit, I wasn't going to watch this at first because it looked like a moeblob but after the first episode I did like the comedy of it. 8th grade syndrome is something we can all relate to, its embarrassing so you can relate with the main characters feelings. So far I like where things are going with the main character and Rikka, their relationship seems like it is going to be funny, but I also find Rikka a bit annoying, getting in his way when he tries to make friends and not seem like a freak. I'll look forward to see how this will progress.
Code:breaker
I was unsure of this series before I watched it because it looked a little dull. After watching the first episode, I am kind of glad I did. Code:Breaker reminds me of Inuyasha in a sense, but with a more modern root. It does seem a bit confusing how ever, I hope it does not end in the kind of anime that gives you more information then actual story/plot. Other then that I can't really say too much about what I'm looking forward to because this could go any way, I'll just have to wait and see.
K Project
This series seems promising. I love the animation, its very clean and flashy. It started off fairly exciting, with explosions and the introduction to a bad ass group (containing some characters I already love, like Mikoto and the skateboarder) Things seem to get a bit boring when it involves the more military powers in the blue, whoever they are. The school life part of this show, I hope isn't constant because I personally don't really like Yashiro that much to want to watch his day-to-day life, but he is a character I can put up with. He can be fairly cute some times, in a way that reminds me of Haru from Tsuritama. So far it seems exciting so I hope it will turn out awesome.
Little Busters!
I've been looking forward to this series for a long time, ever since I heard it was being animated because I usually end up loving KEY series, although some a very similar. So far, I've been getting a bit of an Ano Hana vibe from the series, in which I love because I have a good feeling it is going to be an emotional roller coaster. I love emotional roller coasters. Hopefully I'll cry a lot. One thing I noticed with this series is that Riki kid has a very girly voice, like I thought he was a chick in a guys uniform for a good portion of the episode. Wonder if that is going to have to do with anything.
Magi
I decided to watch this anime because of the middle eastern/aladdin feel to it. Being how I loved Yu-gi-oh for its Egyptian theme during the last season, I figured I might like Magi as well. So far, so good, Magi brings an adventure RPG theme to my head when I'm watching it, the characters are all bright and memorable giving me a lasting impression. I have not seen the manga for this one, but it seems popular so I hope this series sticks to the manga plotline because it seems interesting. There are many ways this series can go, I hope it turns out well.
Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals
This series has already been airing, but it still is and I am still watching it so I might as well write my feelings about it now before it ends (if it ends.) So far I am loving this series. It's comedy and the use of lovable characters turn out pretty good and it is something I look forward to every week and it puts me in a good mood. Definitely not a show for its plot, but its comedy is awesome. Personally however, I've never been a fan of Guy, so I get bitter when he is around, but every other episode is usually pretty cool, this series made me like Rock Lee a whole lot more too, and I appreciate the fact that Tenten actually gets a lead role in something.
Shinsekai Yori
I'm not too sure if I am going to like this show or not. It seems fairly plain and boring so far after two episodes. I was expected a group of outcast kids due to the series description but so far it just seems like a bunch of magical kids going to magical school. The dark undertones of the disappearing kids are kind of bringing in my attention, but usually the rest is boring. I love the character designs though, these kids are pretty cute.
Sukitte Iinayo
I must have a secret infatuation with shoujo series right now because this one, along with Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun really caught my interest! So far the characters are easy to relate to, I feel as if I can really connect with Mei, being how I have gone through having no friends before (and currently am LOL) and I know exactly how she feels. I liked the stalker idea too, it gave the series a darker undertone so I suspect it might come back later in the series, along with some heartbreak and all that cool drama stuff. Looking forward to it.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
This is probably my favourite show out right now and I've only seen one episode. I've been waiting a long time for this kind of comedic shoujo anime so I'm looking forward to it. The characters are awesome, I love them so far, and the comedy is plays perfectly with them. Doesn't seem like it has those shoujo cliches, so I am really really looking forward to this series.
Zetsuen no Tempest
This is another, not too sure if I'm going to like this show or not. At first it seemed like it would have been cool, but when the magic was added it seemed kind of meh. At the same time, the dark undertones are pulling me in, suggesting some kind of tragedy or something, but then again it seems like No.6, where even though all kinds of people are dying from this stonage thing, no one really gives a shit. I dunno, seems like everyone kinda ignores, oh hey, everyone is dying, this is bad guys.
[WINTER 2013]
Amnesia
I'm a fan of reverse-harem/otome games but this one seems a bit suspicious. I'm hoping it turns out to be a sickass gore fest because the atmosphere totally fits with it so far. I like the art style and how the characters hair are fabulous colours and the eyes are gorgeous. So far I like how they played the amnesia card, where the girl is still playing along as if she didnt lose her memories. Not everyday you see that so it might be something to look forward to.
Boku no Imouto wa "Osaka Okan"
The animation on this one fairly scares me, mainly because I'm not used to it. However the idea of having an anime that stereotypes the people in Osaka isn't that bad. I'm usually not a fan of this kind of strange, learning anime, but its only 3 minutes an episode so I might as well deal with the little to no plot. Interesting concept though.
Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun
Kind of boring, reminds me Hiro no Kakera in style and probably the way its just done. Hope it doesnt turn out too boring or I'l drop it, ain't got time for this shit. Cute main boy lead though, like his hair.
Hetalia: The Beautiful World
I didn't even see this coming so I'm super excited as a Hetalia fan. I'm looking forward to the new animation style, looks great so far. Only 20 episodes is a bit disappointing. I hope funimation dubs it soon.
Love Live! School Idol Project
Somewhat of Aikatsu and regular more anime mix for me. The characters don't seem to have individuality yet besides the fact one girl is a bitch and another is a klutz. I like the songs more then Aikatsu however, the characters actually feel like they are singing them more that is, and there is less computer animated dancing so thats a big push. Don't know if I could compare it to iDOLM@STER yet though.
Mangirl!
Holy shit this is fast paced, like even the characters talk fast. To be 100 percent honest, I was hoping for an anime about a mangirl rather then a girl making manga with some other chicks lol. But hey, kind of cute I guess, curious to see how this goes a long. Who knows, might turn out okay.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
One thing I didnt really enjoy about this so far was the quick to act, implied romance. Like from episode one you can tell these two main characters are gonna be a couple and they just met eachother, not to mention there has already been a confession. Not much of my idea of romance but I wasnt looking for romance in this anime, Im expecting tonnes of action and so far, not so much. A bit of dialogue and some tits, okay lets hope this turns into more. But from the OP, it looks like it might turn into an adventure, which I really like.
Tamako Market
Another moeblog possibility but due to Chuunbiyo I'm going to give it a chance.
Yama no Susume
This is my favourite out of the three minute shows this season. This one seems to promise a bit of plot, yet still maintain cute characters and cute idea. Also kind of gives the tear jerker impression, who knows. Awesome art style too.

Well, guess I've never watched an anime about cute girls and crabs, can't be too bad I guess lol. Looks decent for a 3 minute show so I guess I don't mind lol.
Aku no Hana
omg this is so fuckig creepy, its like it was made in the 80s or something yet its brand new. The animation, art style and atmosphere is so weird, then that fucking crazy bitch is so interesting. Not too sure how I feel, I do like creepy things but this one takes the cake. Guess I'll look forward to it.
Cyclops Shoujo Saipuu
This is just terrible omg, I was expecting some actual eye in the middle creature who does cyclop stuff but all I got was a moeblob with incest habits and big tits. Nothing new, nothing special.
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge
I like how this show isn't some innocent moeblob like I expected it to be, yet still maintains it. I'm not sure how to describe that, but its okay. Its cute with dark undertones, and hopefully the dark will over rule.The first episode however feels like it should be the last and that the show shouldn't be 13 episodes but 4 or 3. It'll be interesting to see where this goes though.
Devil Survivor 2
I've played the game about a year ago, I didn't get far because I absolutely suck at rpg grid combat but I remember the story that I got out of it was fairly interesting so hopefully i'll be able to see it with this anime lol. And if this is any good maybe I'll watch Persona 4.
Karneval
I'm hoping this doesn't end up like a no. 7 type of anime, where its really yaoi suggestive and not very emotional. I'm hoping the circus atmosphere will overpower that; the reason why I decided to watch this show for my love of circus related things. Kind of disappointed Circus is a defense group, should be a god damn circus. Character designs are nice though, hair styles are well thought out.
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
As much as I hate Kirino, I'm excited to see Kuroneko, I hope she gets a big part in this season. As for Kirino, I wish she didn't have any money because shes making me want to shop as much as she does! I'm so jelous of her collection even though I'm pretty sure its just a bunch of moeblog porn.

Kinda looks like the makers made this like 10 years ago and are only posting it now. Kind of weird, old style big anime tits and everything so kind of weird. Guess I'm still gonna watch it though.

Not too sure how I feel about this show from the last season, being the main character girl is a total sue and the lack of other music producers lacks majorly. But the hot guys make up for it, even when they are all in love with the sue. Thats too bad. In this season though I like the rival idea-ish between the higher status group and that they will probably be pretty interesting themselves (if the show decides to elaborate further on their characters, which I hope they do) Also wtf is Cecil doing dancing with the others, he needs to get back to being a cat or whatever he was.
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru
Wow I really like this one so far, it's very interesting. Good comedy, art and not a bad story coming a long. I have a good feeling about this one.
