I finished watching the first couple of episodes for the new anime series Skip Beat. I was very much looking forward to seeing how well it related to the manga. The Skip Beat manga is one of my all time favorites, so I have to say that I'm a bit picky about it. My first concerns for the series was when I read on anime news network that Kyoko was to be a singer and not an actress. This made me think that if they where to change that much of the story then they might as well change the title to something else 'cuz it wouldn't be Skip Beat. But so far in the series has yet to say whether Kyoko is to be singer or actress, so for now I'll think that it was a typo on someone else's part. Then seeing the posters for the show had me cringe. That's right my first glimpse has to how the characters were to look on screen, and I have to say I thought that Kyoko and Sho looked very well done, but as for Ren I feel like he has been totally screwed up. His build is nice his hair is right, and his chibi face is also good, but sad to say that as for me when it comes to his face ... to be blunt, I hate it. That's right he looks awful. Disagree with me if you want but that is my opinion. The voice actors that were picked I like and think do a good job at bringing them to life. The colors for the show I like a lot (they got the pink jumpsuit dead on), and the soundtrack I like (especially the opening and ending songs). So all in all I can handle Ren's face, so long as Kyoko stay an actress. Even if they do have it where Kyoko is a singer, then I'll still watch but I will sincerely be disappointed. I tried to post a youtube video of the opening and ending songs, but I don't know if I did it right. All comments are welcomed good are bad.

Hello World, As the title says this is my first post on this blog. I hope that it will at least be of some kind of amusement for anyone who reads it. I plan to write reviews on animes that I 'm currently watching, and reviews on mangas I'm currently reading. I will also post youtube videos of anime theme songs that I find appealing, and different pics of anime, or manga characters. All comments good or bad are welcomed.
