For the love of anime...
I have come to the conclusion that there is very little I wouldn't do to obtain the anime I want short of killing, cheating, or maiming someone. Sad, but true, this also applies to manga. I also put up with quite a bit of censure from my family and friends who just don't get it...which at times makes me want to sock them in the gut. However for anime I am willing to forget my dignity and pride as well. You would think in this vast changing world of acceptance people would leave me alone to my preferences.
But, no.
Everyone around me has to nitpick. "You're too old to like such childish ventures." ito the effect are such comments that I get once people discover my obsession. Thank heavens I have stopped caring what other people think.
We as human beings care so much what others think and allow our lives to be dictated by this flaw that often times we forget to bet true to ourselves. Now I'm sure a lot of people are saying upon reading this, "holy crap it's just anime, she's turing this into a life philosophy."
What's wrong with that after all? Isn't it in the mundane and seemingly unimportant things in our lives that we find some of our greatest lessons? Well have found some of the most ironic and wonderful lessons in the themes of some of my more personal favorites.
Oh well I've blathered on long enough, I was just mulling over things this morning and this came to mind.

What to write about...
Let's see I could elaborate on my mundane existance....no let's not purposely scare everyone away in droves (talking to myself). I could talk about *ephiphany* anime!
Anyway, I've been watching anime for years and years now and just now came up with the idea to keep a blog. Do I actually expect anyone to follow it? The answer to that is obvious, of course not!
I don't have a favorite anime or manga for the simple reason that there are too many in my vast anime/manga universe to pick just one. I am a big fan of yaoi, something many find disturbing, so it's probably a good thing I don't base my likes on what people think.
If I had to narrow it down to just a few favorite anime I would say at the top of my head at the current momen: Witchblade, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, Junjou Romantica, and too many others to list, I would be here for a century.
I also write, not well but I do write fanfiction. Well I think I've droned on enough for one day, night wherever it is in your part of the world.
