BEST animes I've evar watched
With a "Worst animes I've evar watched", there must be a "Best anime I've evar watched alongside with it.
So・Ra・No・Wo・To
Synopsis:
A long war brings a gradual decline to the world. People disappear from towns, and fish cease to exist in the sea. In a town called Seize five girls guard a fortress and play brass vividly.
Definitely, the synopsis at first didn't bring much information about this anime to me. Probably the shortest Synopsis I've ever heard. D:
Before I start, I'm expecting to see LOTS of negative comments about this.
Why?
I would presume that it is because different people have different tastes. As for me, I like anything that can make me laugh. Brightens up my day. :D
At the start of the anime, the scene depicts an interior of a train, showing the main character, Sorami Kanata. She's going to the army to learn a trumpet.
At first, I was like... WTF? This must be one crappy anime.
Boy was I wrong. :D
Firstly, I would like to comment on the story. It definitely has a VERY original storyboard, since I've never seen any anime with the same type of story before.
The story depicts a scene in the future, where everything has changed.
Why do I say this is very original?
Because I could tell how much thought was put onto this anime.
The future in the anime was very different from what normal people would think of.
Flying cars? Robots? Living in space?
Nope. Everything was reverted back to the past. The buildings are portrayed such that they are made by bricks and by hand.
Why do I say this was probably the future? Because in the anime, there was no more sea.
This reminds me of the current global warming, and how this could actually be the future. D:
Also, it is common sense to people that the future = high-tech weapons, etc.
The anime has exactly the reverse.
It portrays the technology use from the past = the best weapons currently.
I'll bet that no other anime had this kind of thinking before.
That's why I find it so... Special.
The characters are drawn really well, though they look identical to the characters in K-ON. This isn't really relevant to the anime though, since it is about the army.
They should look tougher, not cuter. (Though I still prefer the characters to be cute) D:
I shall not go into too much details about the characters, since there isn't much to be talked about. They weren't developed properly. There are some parts of the anime where I still don't understand. Bad character development.
The story was kinda rushed, since each episode shows about how they spent their time in the army. Only in the last 2 episodes there was actual action. However, this might have been the producer's deliberate action. Maybe he merely wanted to create a simple anime about a cheerful army life. What a contradiction.
Another thing to add, this anime includes the song "Amazing Grace" played with a trumpet. This song really hit me, since I've heard it before. I've never encountered an anime that uses an actual famous song, and have it convey a meaning in military terms.
Kinda cool. :D
Summary incoming.
Story: 7.4/10
Rushed, maybe deliberate, yet simple.
Sound: 7.2/10
Loved how they played the song, "Amazing Grace". The OP wasn't too bad, so was the ED.
Characters: 5.8/10
Not really explained very well, though I understood most parts of it.
Art: 7.8/10
Awesome.
Enjoyment: 7.8/10
I had lots of laughs. I'm not really sure why though. :D
Overall: 7.2/10
Loved how it was able to create such an original story. Though there are some missing bits missing out.
To me, this anime is like... A bite out of a cookie. :D
Satisfactory, but it isn't complete.

The WORST animes I've evar watched.
Hell, I've finally created this entry for fun.
Here I shall review upon the animes which I've found that completely FAIL.
Maybe I'll make a banner for this too. :D
WARNING: MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS
11eyes
Synopsis:
After losing his sister five years ago, Satsuki Kakeru led a vacant life, only able to return to his normal days with help from his childhood friend Minase Yuka and other friends at school.
Suddenly one day, the sky turns red and the moon turns black. Everyone besides Kakeru and Yuka disappears and monsters start roaming the streets. All that they were able to do was just to run away and hide. After a while, the world returns to normal. But just when they thought everything was a dream, the Red Night occurs again. Kakeru and Yuka manage to find four more humans who are involved in this mysterious phenomenon: Kusakabe Misuzu, a red-haired onmyouji swordswoman, Tachibana Kukuri, a strange mute girl who looks like Kakeru's deceased sister, Hirohara Yukiko, a lively young girl who reverts to the personality of a cold killer when her glasses are removed, and Tajima Takahisa, a young pyrokineticist.
They get together and try to survive, but six shadows suddenly appear in front of them...
After reading the synopsis for the very first time, I thought this might be quite an interesting anime to watch, because of its uniqueness. And it has some sort of fantasy storyline too! I like animes with this kind of plot. :D
On the first episode, the main protagonist, Kakeru something, was featured with his so called "childhood friend" Minase Yuka. Nothing awkward about that.
Then, suddenly he is transported to some place named Red Night. Okay. This might be interesting. I THOUGHT. But somehow the story messed up in the later episodes.
Minase Yuka. Its damn obvious she likes Kakeru, but as usual, he is a total airhead and doesn't know it. As the story goes on, Yuka starts to get jealous of Kakeru of going too close with Misuzu (Another girl) then at some point, she breaks down and turns fucking maniac. :O
That's not the only thing. When she's a maniac, she can only care about Kakeru and does whatever shit to save him. Well, thats typical. But the funny thing is, she'll suddenly TURN BACK TO NORMAL and then GO BACK TO MANIAC MODE. ?
I sometimes wonder if she's suffering for some sort of disorder.
Oh and she has a very "special" ability. She is able to negate EVERYONES powers. That mean she can dispel everything. She can just use that and start killin' all the bad guys. BUT. She doesn't do that. She rather go crazy and stick with Kakeru. Okay. Weird? Oh and she was the cause of killing everyone. She released the witch even though she knew it was evil. Reason? Don't know.
Maybe she just wanted to give that bitch a smile.
Misuzu Kusakabe. The funniest part yet.
She's from some famous Kusakabe clan, and she has 5 demonic swords and she is able to draw them out from fingernail through some portal. Holy shit man, whenver she pulls that shit out, I cringe in pain. D:
So, as the story goes on, Kakeru almost dies for using too much of his power. In order to save him, she looked like she was doing some sexual acts with him. Okay... Awkward much?
Then, in order to make Kakeru to get faster and stronger while fighting, he needs to drink her blood. Holy shit man.
And guess how she gives Kakeru a greater power other than her blood?
To have sex with Kakeru. (Yes I know I'm being pretty blunt)
Either she's really lying, or the Kusakabe clan is one DAMN horny clan. Everything has to be settled with something sexual.
Kakeru Satsuki. He has the power to predict the enemy's movements.
Ha ha ha. So he's unstoppable? Yes.
So let me tell you the part where is fucked up.
First, Yuka died. He was pushed out of Red Night, and was "increasing his power" with Misuzu.(Refer to above)
Then dead Yuka returns and hugs Kakeru to death. It seems she being controlled by the enemy. Then the whole world dies. Yay for me! The damnation has ended.
THEN, WTF, IT TURNS OUT TO BE KAKERU'S PREDICTION. HOLY SHIT MAN.
So I was like, SHIT I WASTED 10 MINS OF MY LIFE.
And if he could like predict such long periods of time, why didn't he predict it from the beginning? Then the anime could have like ended in... 2 episodes?
Yay for me, and yay for the fansubbers.
Yukiko Hirohara. The only one that seems normal to me.
She doesn't have much bad qualities about her. Its just that she goes super crazy when her glasses are off. That is not really bad, more of a unique characteristic.
Takahisa Tajima. He can be considered a Supporting character since I only seem him appear a few times since he likes to go "solo" and he died pretty early. But somehow he raised back from the dead at the ending.
Kukuri Tachibana. Her name reminds me of banana.
:O
She suddenly disappears cause Yuka doesn't acknowledge her existence. Then she comes back as her angel, Abraxas.
Shiori Momono. She appears more often than Takahisa Tajima and she gets to be a supporting character. :O The animators must not know whats "supporting" and "main" characters.
Anyway, she is from some library organisation.
"Her real name given by Index is "Ursula of the Bookshelf""
Hey hey, don't copy shit from Toaru No Majutsu no Index. She is SUPER SMART, but she only appears in the Red Night at the ending.
By doing this, the story becomes super rushed at her entry into the anime. You see, at the beginning, all of the people who enters the Red Night is to kill some people called the Black Knights. Since they didn't know what they were fighting for, they just killed them. :O Very logical.
Then Shiori comes in, saying "The Black Knights are the allies protecting the world from the evil magician".
This would mean, the entire first 8 episodes (or maybe lesser) were a waste of time and they were killing the wrong people. Either the producers were on dope or they just wanted to waste our time, enjoying the sight of me crawling in pain.
So...
A summary is definitely required.
The entire plot was destroyed, as they had different scenarios where the episode ended like "It was all a dream prediction." or "you were killin' your allies!"
The characters were not have a thorough development, leaving quite a chunk of questions I have unanswered about the characters. (Note: I don't want to list them as I will look like I'm talking to myself.) The producers might have taken dope while doing this, and it looks like no effort was taken to do this shit.
As you can see from my list, I rated it as 6/10.
Something you ought to know about me. As I rate anime on my list, I tend to give anything above 5. Below 5 and it belongs to hell. But, if I were to judge an anime seriously, I'm much harsher.
Story: 2.1/10
No effort taken.
Sound: 6.4/10
The OP and ED were not as bad as I thought, and the background sounds fitted in pretty nicely.
Art: 6.6/10
The characters were drawn pretty well, though I've seen better in 2009
Characters: 2.0/10
Badly developed
Enjoyment: 2.4/10
This was reduced so much due to the fact of the lame and abrupt endings.
Overall: 3.9/10
Regretting watching this shit.
Seiken No Blacksmith
Synopsis:
Once upon a time, there was a tragic war, in which the power of the devils was involved. After the war, the devils' power was banned and the world was restored to peace. Cecily Campbell is a knight, who has been looking for a blacksmith to repair her old sword given by her father. One day, she saw a man fighting with a ruffian who used the tabooed devil's power. The man defeated him with one blow of his weirdly shaped sword. The man turned out to be a blacksmith called Luke. The fateful encounter was the beginning of the adventure.
Now that I think of it, the synopsis sounds like an extract from some storybook.
Well, if you've noticed, the story itself is as predictable as you can expect from any storybook you've purchased for a kid.
Look, I wiki'd the word "Knight" and I've extracted this out.
"A knight was a "gentleman soldier"[1] or member of the warrior class of the Middle Ages in Europe."
Gentleman soldier. Does a Gentleman have boobs? Do they? Uhh.. DUH NO?
Well, this anime consist of a female protagonist who is a knight in the medieval times. But since this IS the anime world, I shall let that go. There are so many other faults this anime has that I can talk about.
Firstly, on the first episode, a katana SLICED a frigging huge sword in HALF. If I have to explain in more detail, a lightweight sword SLICED a HUGE sword in half. WTF?! Aw come on. You've gotta be kidding me. Its as if... a plastic knife slicing a steel knife in half. This might have been more realistic if the wielder was some sort of super buff guy, BUT the guy holding it was an AVERAGE guy with a weird eye. :O
So cool.
Luke Ainsworth. I should have listened to his name.
"This anime Ainsworth the time to watch." D:
At first, seeing Luke always together with Lisa, I thought he was some sort of lolicon who likes hugging little girls all day like some character in Bakemonogatari. (Not pointing fingers) >.>
Anyway, I was glad he wasn't a retard.
The producers really inserted a lot of genres into this anime. Fantasy, magic, "romance", action, ecchi.
About the ecchi, it appears at the most irrelevant time. After the battle they fought, Cecily's breastplate cracks and drops. Then she suddenly turns into a tsundere and slap Luke.
Okay. Action + ecchi do not go well together. The entire mood is gone.
Cecily Cambell. She's from some rich family who were knights from generations, and she wanted to continue the family tradition of knights. Nothing wrong with that. Filial piety is absolutely normal. She even managed to enter some Knight Guild! Wow! She must be really good in sword fighting! NOT.
She's actually BAD at fighting. And for what reason did that organisation let her in? I don't know. Maybe she used some underhand methods. :O
Also, she was given the task of taking care of some super important item.
Common sense tells me that I would entrust the strongest person with that item instead of letting an amateur handle with it. Maybe people from the medieval times were too stupid to know what's common sense.
Lisa. LOL. Quoted from her character page.
"She has magical powers, which may be a result of making a contract with Luke. However, this is still unclear."
This is still unclear? What the heck? The anime's already finish airing. And I don't think it would be going for a second season judging by the popularity it has.
What does this indicate? BAD character development.
Aria. Girls that can transform into demonic swords. Nothing new. I've seen talking talismans (Shakugan no Shana) to alive soft toys (Kampfer).
Then here comes the confusing part. There are both "talkable" demonic swords and "non-talkable" demonic swords. During the entire 12 episodes, I can only conclude some facts about them.
- They eat a lot
- They are able to shoot out magical looking things without effort
- They sleep (Not surprising)
- They are born from hate
That's about it. They didn't emphasize on how they were born.
A fact: There are hell lot of people out there in the world with shitty load of hate, then that should mean there must be like... a few million demonic swords out there? But in the anime, they showcased very little swords. :O
And yes,
A summary is definitely required.
A girl who fights VERY BADLY who can't even kill something progresses so damn fast she is able to solo 4 people with demonic swords. This progress took place in like.. 7 episodes. The entire series were to kill some sort of big demon lurking in the mountain, but guess what, at the end of the anime, there wasn't any killing of the demon. Everything ended peacefully. ? Producers missed out something?
Also, if you've watched the anime, you'll notice that Luke and Lisa always create a sword during the battles.
This part gets funny.
Luke says, "Cover me!"
Cecily protects him. The monster stands there.
After finishing creating the sword, Cecily, who did nothing, stands away and Luke kills it.
Weird? The monster has a lack of common sense too.
Story: 4.5/10
I could somehow sense the storyline, however still not passable in my opinon.
Sound: 0/10
I can't add this in cause I always skipped the OP since I wanted to get the anime over and done with to end the torture.
Characters: 3.2/10
As stated above, lack of development.
Art: 6.9/10
Nice art, but in the wrong anime. THIS IS ACTION. NOT SOME MOE SHOW.
Enjoyment: 4.2/10
Luke fights nicely, Cecily fails.
Overall: 4.7/10
They could have done a much better job if they actually cared.
