I've been noticing some interesting trends w/r/t reviews that I've been seeing on here lately, and they need to be addressed.

One trend is the tendency to say, ZOMG GREATEST ANIME EVARR or OMG THIS IS THE SUXXORS, and to not really give reasons why, which just makes you look like a stupid troll. If you want us to take you seriously, at least give us reasons for why you love/dislike the show too much.

And the most disturbing trend of all is to write reviews like those above, or even good/passable reviews WITHOUT WATCHING THE WHOLE SHOW. If I come across these reviews, I will mark it unhelpful, no questions asked. You do not know that this is how the whole show will turn out, especially if you've watched less than a third of the show (I'm looking at you, midori- and ShadowAlex). Assuming that the rest of the show will be like what you saw makes you look like an unbelievable idiot, especially when you're going up against reviews done by people who have actually seen the whole thing. And it's more a matter of common sense; you don't watch a half hour of a two hour movie, walk out, and tell everyone the entire movie was like that.

Take Fate/Stay Night, for a personal example. I only made it to episode seven, or something like that, and I dropped it because I physically could not stand it. I can give my opinion to people based on what I saw; however, I am nowhere near qualified to speak about the whole show, and I will make it clear to those I speak to about it that I did not finish the entire thing when I do talk about it.

If you must share your opinions, do a blog entry, talk about it on a forum, do what you will. But do not write a review for it, because you DON'T know the series, and you look like an idiot, kthnxbye.
