Anime Relations: Shin Kidou Senki Gundam Wing, Shin Kidou Senki Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Shin Kidou Senki Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz Tokubetsu-hen, Shin Kidou Senki Gundam Wing: Operation Meteor

Childhood nostalgia gave this show a bit of a boost, but it was still pretty darn boring overall. It started out okay, and the first third or so of the series kept me mostly entertained (though I was multitasking -- cleaning my room as I watched), but it just drug on for too long. Relena is awful, the plot is convoluted, just about every character is insane... Feeny's ~in-depth analysis~ is a much more entertaining take on the series, tbh, than the shallow, mainstream (read: correct) interpretation, but still...

PROS:
- Totally sick mecha designs -- especially in Endless Waltz
- Great music

CONS:
- Characters
- Plot
- Most else

If it weren't for nostalgia and the awesome gundams, this would probably get more like a 3, but I'm giving it a 5/10.

Anime Relations: Top wo Nerae! Gunbuster

I don't want to write "reviews," because then I'd have to be detailed and in-depth and write like a professional and let everyone downvote it because my opinions are bad, so instead I'm gonna start recording my thoughts in these blogs as I watch anime. You know, in case I forget what I think of a show a year or two after watching it >.>

...So I just watched Gunbuster for the first time, with Ranka-chan...

PROS:
- Well-directed
- Awesome musical backing
- Great visuals (love the cyclops eye in the Gunbuster)
- The incorporation of relativistic time dilation was neat (though them coming back to earth in episode 5 and coach still being alive after however many years should have passed confused me)
- Interesting and exciting plot
- Good voice acting (I mean, it's hard to tell when it's in Japanese, but it seemed good to me. The shout-y giga drill breaker parts were good >.>)

CONS:
- The whole thing felt rushed; it would have been better IMO as a full-length series like Evangelion, or at least 13-ish episodes
- It looked like the budget kind of, uh, ran out, in episode 6. Not just because of the black and white, but because of the one part, where, as Ranka put it, "Clockwork Orange music played over storyboards"

I quite liked it overall, probably going to give it a 7 or 8/10, but I really wish it were longer. It had the potential to be a 10/10 show if it weren't so rushed.
