Anime Relations: Aria the Animation
Aria the Animation is an amazing experience for people who want to know what the point of this life is or for people who likes a lot a series about nice characters’ daily life. This series is basically the pinnacle of the Slice of Life. Most of the characters have the letter A as their initial of their name. This season is where the journey begins by introducing the characters.

This series has an amazing soundtrack, which was composed by Choro Club and Senoo. It’s really soothing to hear and makes you feel really good. Character design is very good as well. The opening has different versions each episode, making it unique and not repetitive, and it’s too hard to skip if you don’t want to miss something in one or other episode.

Characters are very nice and convey a message, which is making effort of things, doing what you like and you are good at, and find the point of life no matter how problematic this be. Akari has a very positive attitude and finds solve all type of problems if she finds them, she is very chill and never gets upset for things that people normally get for, same as Alicia, besides being a talented Undine (which is a word to refer to female gondoliers). Aika is a little relatable because she is very normal in almost every aspect, she is like her teacher, Akira. Alice is a mysterious girl and who some introverted people can relate to. Athena could be another relatable character, especially for beginners at something. The story is lineal but doesn’t bring a large conflict for this moment, there are very touching episodes, every character does what they find very likeable, none seems to dislike what they are doing. World-building is awesome as well, the author understands that Mars is a planet that has 24 months, it could be there many short months or long months. The series explains you how the planet is maintained terraformed, with the help of Salamanders and Gnomes, the first one maintaining the air, oxygen and weather, and the second one maintaining the gravity stable. There is an episode where Aqua’s background is seen.

But the negative side of this show is the pacing, the pacing can be very slow for people who like fast-paced stories and are into shows that blow up their hormones. Besides, there is an episode that could be not for some people, there are some sappy lines about optimism and there is a fat cat that could be obnoxious at times. The animation could not be the best since there are some bad frames, but overall is good for its time.

My personal experience was a smile every episode, a dose of dopamine and serotonin, and relaxation. Give it a try without prejudices and thank you for reading.

Anime Relations: Yosuga no Sora
Yosuga no Sora is a really controversial series due to the topics it shows, people criticize it because of shallow reasons for those topics. However, this series has more severe problems besides those problems that are criticized by most people. This series explains us how not to direct an anime. Possibly the visual novel be better in several aspects. Adapting a visual novel is known to be very complicated. These are the three problems I have with this series:

Let's begin with the character development, where the series fails terribly. The series has four routes or arcs, but the horrid problem this series has is that the development is erased not one but three times, the series loses merit every time a route ends because characters lose their development, at least, if they had. This series repeats twice this formula:
1. The main character meets the girl.
2. The main character helps the girl.
3. The main character ends up with the girl.

The characterization is another problem because there is no character that is not one-dimensional: Haruka, the main character is your typical harem lead without personality and a girl magnet; the first girl, Kazuha, is the typical wealthy girl, the second girl, Akira, is the typical energetic girl; the third girl, Nao, the typical girl with glasses; and the fourth one, Sora, the little sister and the typical tsundere. A series has to have unique characters.

Another issue is the way the series wants to catch our attention, the series has no interesting premise, the reason why this series is known is because of sex scenes. Basically, the series is a cheap excuse to have the protagonist have sex with the girls in each route. Basically, a pseudo-hentai.

But how to improve the quality of this terrible series?

This serie is known to be based on a pornographic visual novel, the first possible area of improvement could be animate seven different OVA series, possibly hentai, do you remember Fate/stay night?, it has three routes and each is in a different series, they're three adaptations, but it could be repetitive and not budget-friendly. The second possible area of improvement, and the most money-friendly could be choosing the most interesting girl in the series, which is Sora, just for being the sister.

The soundtrack sounded well, the animation was decent and the character design was average.

If you want to watch this series, try to overlook its issues, if you want, at least there could be a little more enjoyment. If you are an fan of ecchi, go ahead. But otherwise, if you are looking for a good story and characters, avoid it like plague.

Thank you for reading.
