Anime Relations: Natsume Yuujinchou
I seem to want to understand him. As long as we talk a bit more, I can understand a bit more about him. Just like how eyes get used to the dark after a while, what we were not able to see, now we see clearly.

Poems which I wrote for the Headless Horseman's Happy Hour in Kabo-chan's Cursed Playroom at the MALoween Mansion (2016)

Picture

Isaac and Miria at The Hat Shop

Two of a kind, a kind of Two,
New York, we're here. Yoo-hoo!
Now where do we go, do we go, do we go,
The hat shop over there, let's go, let's go.

Hey, Isaac, look over here,
the hats are covering up the wall!
No dear Maria, it's not the case,
For behind the hats, there is no wall at all!

A black top hat, a lady’s hat,
a Japanese crown we have bought.
Now lets go out, and roam about,
till we figure out our next plot.

witch

The Young Witch

Upon her broom, rides a young sweet witch,
a witch without a witch's hat.
She delivers things, and flies around
she flies around with her cat.

She flies above, high in the sky
In a sky painted with blue.
And gazes down, to her beloved town,
A town with an ocean view.

Cat

A Cat?

A huge ball of white fur,
came tumbling down the hill,
it collided with a tree of fir,
and then came to a standstill.

I was curious to see what it was,
so I poked at it with a bat,
a little movement, then a pause,
what showed me its face was a cat.

My Experience at the MALoweenMansion! 2016

Kabo-chan's Cursed Playroom II

This was really fun and easy. There were five mini games which I completed to get 9 out of the 10 candies.

1. The Endless Search - Riddles, Cryptography

This challenge consisted of solving 2 riddles and a code. One was the main riddle which lead me to an anime title, using this title, I was able to solve the code.
At first, I had tried solving the code mathematically, but after seeing the people's comments that the anime title was essential to solving the code, I changed my tactics. I went to the anime's page, and after reading a hint that the code would form a sentence when solved, I suddenly remembered a Light Novel which was related to the anime in which the MC had solved a number code using words from a book. Thus I solved the code.
The second riddle was a bonus question, which I didn't get at first, but after a hint from a user, I was finally able to do it.

2. Silence in Space - Physics

This was a physics problem. It reunited me with my past love - physics. I got the answer wrong the first time, then used details from the related anime to modify the same answer and sent it, but it was wrong. I did a bit more googling, and then found the correct formula, and hence solved the question correctly.
Bonus was linked to a misspelled character name in the original post, so I got that one too.

3. Naru's Nook of Nightmares III - Highlight, highlight!

This was fairly easy. I had read the previous year's version and had a fairly good idea of what to do. The bonus was writing a eulogy to one of the departed, which I did, and received my bonus candy.

4. Halloween Castle Party - A party indeed!

It had three mini games, which were pretty simple. I completed the hard modes as well, so got the bonus along with the main candy.

5. Perilous pumpkin Patch - Animal Kingdom

This one reunited me with another one of my past loves - Zoology. Did googling, found all the answers. Came across a lot of fun facts while doing so. Did you know that T. rex could open its jaw reallywide, upto 90 degrees, and eat upto 500pounds of meat in one bite?] Got all 20 correct in two attempts, so got the bonus as well.

6. Dolls Fall - with Sebas-chan and the detective

It was pretty tough for me, managed to get the candy at the third and last attempt of solving the riddle related to the story. Many poor souls are still trapped there.

7. Idols no Naku Koro Ni - walls of text

I didn't really start thinking about solving the problem until 2 hours before the deadline, but till then a lot of people had discussed the topic, and all three Acts were published, so it was pretty easy to solve. Bonus was a piece of cake after reading the Epilogue, but I already knew the answer to the bonus, so got that as well.

8. Day 19: The Maze - Not a Maze for all ;)

I solved only 3 of the hints. I didn't really have time to solve all of them, a lot of other rooms were pending. So I took a short cut, and got both the Main and the Bonus.

9. Haunted Neko Forest - Nekos, Nekos everywhere!

This was the easiest of all the rooms. I uploaded a picture of Nyanko-sensei which I had painted on my pouch, along with the mandatory piece of paper praising Ardanaz, and got the Main candy. Bonus was copy-paste a pic of white haired red eyed catgirl, so got that too.

10. Halloween Town: The Witches lair - Halloween themed riddles

5 riddles for 5 horror/psychological anime. Two of them I knew without looking at the tags in the Mansion Resident's anime list, the rest I found easily. Bonus was a Halloween themed meme. Copied, Pasted, and received the bonus candy.

11. The Manhunt - a manhunt

Super difficult anime character hunt crossword which I wouldn't have been able to solve had people not given hints. Solved all correctly but left one hint half solved, and sent my answer without cross-checking, thus missed the bonus candy, but got the main one.
For the extra bonus candy, I used CTRL-F 'unnamed' to find hints given by others for the unnamed man on the first page, and found his name in the post by the OP! So got one of the two bonuses in the offering.

12. The Clockwork Heart - Best Room.

This one started 3 days before the mansion closed.
Day 1: I was late, and saw all the questions were already answered. Later, when when more tests were added, attempted a few questions but didn't manage to post an answer before others did, or didn't manage to find an answer at all! Finally, came the question of the scientist, and found him, took a screenshot, and posted it. I was tired, so didn't hang around for long, and thus went to sleep.
Day 2: Answered a physics question based on turns ratio, attempted quite a few others as well.
Day 3: This was when the fun really started for me. Attempted many questions. Watched Mars of Destruction, took screenshots, collaborated with quite a number of people to find answers to all of the tests, and stayed until the final battle.
The final battle was the first time I played an RPG online. I became a Shieldbearer and protected my allies! At first I didn't know what to do, so I asked a number of questions, which my teammates answered patiently, and I learned the ropes of the game. I stayed alive till the tenth Tick where I was killed (along with many others) by the ghost. But our comrades avenged our deaths and killed the ghost in the next tick with Spooky-chan's help. Later she revived us all. Happy Ending! :)

Thus ended my journey in the MALoween Mansion.

Kudos to all the mods for hosting this event! A lot of hard-work must have gone into making all the games and riddles, replying to numerous PMs, and of course, giving the candies. :)
