Actively Raiding!
Anime Relations: Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari
Ah yes, how bout starting my blog with a post about the one anime I was anticipating the most from the current season?
Well, just judging from the first episode, there aren't the right words to actually describe the fangasm I had while watching the premier... Just friggin marvelous, I can say this much.
What immediately caught my eye upon the first PV and the MAL page: The same Studio as the makers of Date A-Live, which is already a huge +1 from me.
Then the director, who had his hands in countless Gundam series, which is already another big-big +1. One does not simply see the title Gundam and not know what it is, at least a bit.
And of course the music... Oh MY GOD Akino with bless4 does a marvelous job with this one. Perfect, great music, excelent pick... And a nice, simple, yet spot on opening clip.
The visuals are breathtaking, the Action is superior to a lot of animes last year and even prior, the original ideas and even the one's I seem to be able to compare with other animes are really well done... Simply put awesome as f*ck!
Yes I did notice some stuff. For example the fact that Kazari slightly resembles Tsunemori Akane from Psycho Pass. Probably the fact that the "Eighth" is a polic special squadron and the fact that Kazari is an Assistant Inspector made me think of that, so never mind, if it's just me. Also she's an ambitios newbie, which also adds to this thought. I generally liked her character more and more as the episode progressed.
Also, the thing with the Willwear, and Kuroki Takeru's figure. Maybe it's just me, but I instantly thought of Sacred Seven. Kuroki does resemble Tandouji a bit, but that's pure coincidence.
I'll also say, the vibrant colors and beautiful animation style the anime at hand uses is just pure eyecandy. I loved this in Date A-Live, ind Shinmai Maou no Testament, and even though a lot of people seem to dislike only this much, and they keep saying it's only good for 4k TV-s and such, I watched it on my laptop, and I'll say, it was as perfect as it gets even like this. I'm not sure if there would be any difference, but what I am sure about is, it's a Blast!
