Around this time (10/2023) 10 years ago, I started watching anime full time. It was summer break 2013 going into junior year of highschool. Before this, I watched anime like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, and other things on TV but it wasn't anything seasonal or consistently.

I watched over 100, maybe 200 anime in the last 10 years. 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 I was always trying to watch at least one anime at all times, watching 2-3 episodes a day and at least 2 airing shows per season. Unfortunately, I forgot a lot of the anime and if I rewatched them today, they would be new content for me.

I haven't watched anime full time since 2016, I feel this was due to me starting college and getting burnt out of anime. The last season where I followed airing anime and watched at least 2 or 3 shows was summer 2016. Between summer 2016 and 2020, I only remember following My Hero and Attack on Titan as they were airing like in 2018. In 2020, my girlfriend reintroduced me into anime. She showed me things I missed like Demon Slayer/Chainsaw Man. She got me into Demon Slayer and things like JJK. While I don't really watch seasonal anime anymore like her, but I will watch things like JJK and Bleach TYBW.

I'm really happy that some shows I watched back then have ended and gotten endings like Durarara and Tokyo ESP but sad that some of the manga/light novel endings do not season two anime, they only have one season.

On a side note, I finally went to my first con in 2023 thanks to my girlfriend. I've been wanting to go to a con since 2014 when I was in highschool. It just never happened, Brandon, we never did go to the con we talked about when we turned 18.

Moving Forward, I still really enjoy anime but it seems my attention span is gone, I find myself only watching things like Demon Slayer, AOT, JJK, One Piece, Berserk. But that is okay with me because anime is something I feel like you have to enjoy watching and it shouldn't be a chore. I hope to write another thing like this in 2033.
