Anime Relations: Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach
Full Metal Alchemist Live Action (2017): I give it a 7/10
Synopsis: Two alchemist brothers go on a quest for the Philosopher’s Stone after an attempt to revive their dead mother goes horribly wrong.
Um.. this movie I didn’t particularly enjoy as much as Bleach or Black Butler Live Action. Let’s start off with Ed’s hair.. WHAT WAS THAT 😬 every time the actor for ED would move you could see the clip where the extension stuck into the hair was showing. And it was noticeable from the minute he stepped into the screen. But I also feel like the ending was rushed a bit & who exactly the villain was kinda shifted (if they wanted to make it a group of people not just cult, they could have built up to that) And Ed & Al didn’t get a fully developed story not to mention Winry, I’ve heard is a big part of their story as well as the military and we just got a few moments with them. I will admit in the short time they had they did make you love and care for Hughes. THEY ALSO INCLUDED THE ICONIC SCENE WITH NINA & HER DOG. TBH I completely understand why it kinda was built the was it was as they have 2 different series (51 episodes? & an animated movie) and a 108 Chapter long manga series they have to incorporate into a 2hr 13m long movie. Lol also I have never read the manga or seen the anime before so I’m going off just the movie alone & things I’ve heard.

Bleach live-action (2018): I give it a 9/10
Synopsis: A Japanese teenager with the ability to see ghosts gains a soul reaper’s powers and begins his duties as a substitute soul reaper.
Uhhh..Miyavi is in this movie!!! WHO WAS GONNA TELL ME??? Ok after I got over the fact he was in this movie, I actually really enjoyed it. I have actually read part of the 1st manga & seen the 1st episode of the Anime (I’m technically at 4 but I don’t think I was paying attention) The CGI was pretty awesome for a low budget film (I read it was low budget), lol and after watching Full Metal Alchemist this was like a breath of fresh air especially with the hair in this movie was 1000000000% better. Also don’t trust Google or IMDB casting-wise because I coulda thought Miyavi was in the movie, I Googled the movie and he never showed up & IMDB lists him as a minor character. Even though we don’t see his character, in the beginning, he’s in the majority of the 2nd half. The way this movie was made gives an equal look at everything. I did watch a youtube video where they compared the anime to the movie and it showed important events through the entire anime. The manga is 74 volumes long, 366 episodes of the anime & 5 movies but I think they covered what they could in 1 hr 48min.

🏹REVIEW🏹
When I first got into anime in like 2013/14 I tried to watch this but couldn’t get into it because of the witches (LIKE THEY MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM HIGH) so this time around I wasn’t expecting anything. But this time I really liked it. Tbh I can’t stand Madoka I thought she was/is really whiny (maybe in the movies she’s better) and the only redeeming episode was the last one. My favorite characters were Homura, Mami & Kyoko. I got over the previous issues I had with the animation of the witches. And can say I’m really happy I gave this anime another try! I also kinda wish we got to see Madoka doing more with her magical powers but I totally understand why we didn’t too.

Madoka: The whiniest child I have ever seen. She literally couldn’t have been more annoying. Then we only get basically 1 episode of her fixing things and being a brave person. WHY IS THIS SHOW FOCUSED ON MADOKA YET SHE BASICALLY DID NOTHING!!

Homura: The star of the show. She sacrificed so much. Her backstory was really sad and I liked that we see her become a tougher person who fights for her friend even though she keeps dying no matter the timeline. She was my favorite character.

Mami: In the beginning, she was my favorite character. I kinda wish she hadn’t died so early on but in the backstory, I get she was always going to die no matter what.

Kyoko: I loved her character also. When we first see her, she’s kinda annoying but once she becomes more a part of the story, she is grew and became a bit better as a character. While she was childish and had beef with Homura, she was willing to overlook it to kill the witch at the end. Then she meets Sayaka and ends up dying to try to save her as she became her first and only friend.

Sayaka: I tbh hated her character. She was so mean to Homura without giving her a chance to justify anything or explain herself. She was also very defensive and hard-headed which ultimately killed her. She also had no right to be upset with Hitomi or Kyousuke because Sayaka never confessed to Kyousuke even though Hitomi gave her time prior to her confessing.

Kyubey: This little.. THIS LITTLE 💩. If these aliens had never come to earth. There would virtually be no witches or girls cursed to be a Magical Girl. I really wish they could have killed him and everyone could have lived instead.
