6/8/09..It be a Sunday night/Monday morning, raining inuneko, and I finally got around to watching Sailor Moon S, episode 8...I think...(98 overall)..Anyway.
I love this series so much more than R already, it has the same human quality and character development that made me love the first series so much...the second felt a bit bloated by filler and more back (to the lolfuture) story that rather dragged at times, only to be ended...with generic wish fulfillment. and dragons. Oh, and for David, there was too much SAILA MOONing by a certain pink haired loli fail. But enough of that.

Alas, this episode was the motor cross episode with wonderfully butch Haruka scratching Sailor Moon's back at one point. Such sweet sentimental awesomeness lol. And soon we'll have the relieved identity...because it was so hard to tell that Sailor Uranus was Haruka in a skirt without a spray of cologne on, amirite? =p

Edit: Better make another to-watch list, because I've decided against Dragon's Heaven..at least seriously viewing it, because it's not showing the subs no matter what player I try. I may just put it on the dropped list. Sorry. >>;

1:00 am, 6/6/09:
Watched the Kimagure no Orange Road Pilot (Courtesy of the Anime Classic Reviews blog)..I always seem to watch the obscure while on vacation. The quality of this fansub was a shoddy VHS rip, and Hikaru's voice was quite painful, but I attribute of the grating quility to the audio. technical issues aside (can't really blame anyone, it's all that exists of this pilot subtitled) it's a very cute short that was obviously successful in marketing the potential of this series. I like the bits of esper power explored rather neatly in the classic formula of comical misunderstanding....in the name of LOVE. <3 Music was poppy but great as well.
If I need a slice of life 80's pick-me up, Maison Ikokku (already reading said manga..slowly) and the actual series of this anime seem to be prime choices. =3

Anime Relations: Tonari no Totoro
6/3/09-Finished MN Totoro, and all I can say is.....FURRY. ^_^
(no no, not the subculture)
But seriously, so there was so much evident craft and fluidity in the design/animation of such a deceivingly lumbering creature. Most everything about this cute and inventive movie was extremely well done, and it surprisingly didn't drag on for too long during all of the transitional (ie, no magicks) scenes. Highly recommend this classic to anyone, maybe not if you find loud children annoying, much less in other languages. But that's such a trivial compared to this movie's spirit. I especially enjoy how it didn't feel the need to end all bittersweet like.

June 2nd, 2009
I already use way too many internet applications as vanity postings for my crap (Deviantart, Blogspot, Twitter, facebook, xangU, a defunct Myspace account, not to mention forums galore (3-4)

Still, I think it's appropriate to consider beefing up myanimelist page a bit, since I find it useful, so I'll simply post what I watch daily...if I do indeed watch anime day by day. It's at least easier to keep this blog succinct...I'm not big on reviewing things on my own, so I'll just write blurbs here and there. Spoilers....yessmebbie.

It'll be formatted as such:

6/2/09-Watched nothing yet. (hence, i have no thoughs on anything yet, lawl.)

Plan to watch- My Neighbor Totoro, Sailor Moon S episode 98, and two obscure 80's titles (Dragon's Heaven and The Kimagure Orange Road Pilot), provided there are enough seeds.

This may be a weensy bit more grounded in reality than my bloated "plan to watch" list that no one even looks at anyway, lol.
