Koe no Katachi-Kimi no Nawa, and bleeh-
Anime Relations: Koe no Katachi, Kimi no Na wa.
Disclaimer : Read on your own risk, this is a total mess; and doesn't mean anything particular.
(also spoilers for the mentioned anime movies above)
Just finished watching "Koe no Katachi" (a Silent Voice) just now, Kyoto Animation didn't let me down (in fact they never have) everything about it is amazing (if you don't compare it to the source material) just wanted to type something down for everyone else to read.
Suicide is a touchy topic, and i respect Koe no Katachi, and it's original author for making it a part of the story. Props to Nishimiya Shouko's VA for the acting; someone should give her a reward of something.
Surprised on why this is not as famous as "Kimi no Na wa" (Your Name) even though they're released somewhat close together, i'm sure there's a few factors involved here, but if I had to choose between" Kimi no Na wa" or "Koe no Katachi" I would probably choose "Koe no Katachi", it's a matter of opinion; and personal preference i guess (don't hate me plz).
reading the reviews, and ignoring the existence of the Manga, I agree that Koe no Katachi lacks a bit in the sound department, but overall it doesn't bother me as much as the plot holes contained in Kimi no Nawa, and also the cliches. (Note : "5cm per-second" tops both movies)
wanted to write this "Blog-Review" of some sort and post it on MAL to try out the "Blog" feature, maybe get some comments too? (hopefully)
