Attack on Titan is with no doubt and absolute confidence the best Anime of all time… what am I saying… probably the best product of all kinds of media that has ever been created or will be created! To say it’s a fantastic anime is a huge understatement, no, it’s the best Anime that anyone could have invented. Is it because of the compelling story or divisive characters? No, it’s because it combines all this prementioned elements, put them together and mix them with realistic decisions and emotionally intense scenes that has burned their way into the viewer’s heart.
S4P2 starts where the previous season has left. Eren is facing a menacing invasion of Marley. All alone he must face not only Reiner, the Armor Titan, but also Porco, the Jaw Titan, and Peke, the Cart Titan. The start of the final season was intense to say the least. The chance of winning for Eren was quite little, but still he’s moving forward (pun intended). Presumptuous, right? But if you think about it, it was quite the right decision. Eren knew that Zeke is on his way, he only need to stall them so Zeke could come and then initiate the Rumbling. If Eren would have run away, that would have not only meant, leaving his friends in the underground prison behind, but also all the support he gets from the yeagerist. Fortunately, the plan goes right. Eren and Zeke, or better to say his head could make contact. Eren’s headshot was quite shocking and left me trembling while watching it (f#ck Gabi). But what comes after that has left my jaw wide open. Eren meets Zeke at the coordinate, next to them the little lethargic Ymir. Finally, they could initiate the … but fortunately(!) Eren betrayed Zeke. I was so relieved that Eren is not so braindead that he would join in this maniac’s plan. Zeke was obviously shocked too but eventually he assumed it. Therefore, he pretended to be tied up to test Eren’s choice. The cards have turned over as Zeke has the upper hand about Ymir. Also, for viewer this must be quite surprising since Eren was in possession of the Founding Titan. The next, Zeke tries to convince Eren of their brainwashed father by looking in the past. This is where shit got real my fellows! We, as the viewer, get a glimpse of Eren’s true motive trough his past. Like the scene when Eren looked reminiscent to the moment he gave Mikasa the scarf or even better the scene when Grisha crushed the kings family. The latter was one of the most epic moment in AoT’s history, literally! This moment has so much impact to the following actions throughout the whole S1 -3. Who would have known that it was not Grisha’s decision, but the decision of Eren himself to take the Founding Titan from the Kings family?! If you think about it, basically Eren was the catalyst of the whole story to begin with. That was not only mind-blowing but also jaw-dropping as well. The scene when Eren is head-to-head with his father and commands him to kill everyone is still burned in my brain as if it was one second ago. That moment was truly epic and with no doubt the most unexpected plot twist I have ever seen. OMG!
