Yay a blog what ever shall I write about? Listen to anime/manga pulse. Go to http://www.anime-pulse.com/ and do stuff. They need people to do stuff so they can do more stuff to make the listeners want to stay. Here are some stuff I posted on the anime pulse forums & website, enjoy:
Maybe if u saw it from the industries point of view you might understand why they do the things they do. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to waiting for anything. I am tired of people complaining about how long they have to wait. If they think they can do a better job why don't they open their own company since they think it is so easy to what the anime industry does. Complaining about it is not going to bring the prices down or speed up the process.
Think about how much it cost to train employees to do a certain job. How much it costs to pay the employees. How much it cost to import products. How much it costs to pay the people how bring the product over by plane, truck, and boat. How much international shipping cost. How much packaging cost. How much it cost to insure a product to make sure it comes over undamaged. How much it cost to repair damages to the product or reorder a product if it is lost or damaged. How much fuel cost. How much it cost to dub/sub anime. How much it cost to have someone sub/dub the anime. How much it cost to pay a voice actor/actress that is in or not in a union. How long it takes to sub/dub an anime perfectly so consumers will buy it. How much it cost to make the packaging the DVDs come + the cover art. How long it takes to pick the right artwork for the DVD cover, box set, and DVD. How long it takes to get the artwork on the DVD, the cover, box set. How long it takes to get the anime on the DVD. They have to know how much space is on the DVD, so they know how much of the anime can fit on the DVD. How much it cost to get the finished product on the selves. How long and how much it cost to get the DVDs to the stores? What if the DVD doesn't sell or has to be taken off the shelves? How much time, effort and money it takes to send the DVDs back if there is something wrong with them? There is probably more that has to be down just to sell a DVD.
Finally entertainment that says screw censorship we are going to say whatever we want because we can. I think the listeners come for the manga reviews and stay for awesome non manga related conversation. At least that is one reason I listen to manga pulse. Thank you for being honest. Both shows u do learn something, some of which is useless; are better then cable, uncensored yay! I am tired of censored anything. The swear word is censored after the first letter. Seriously do they think we do not know what swear word is being used? There is no need for censoring. It is just a waste of time. They should just put up a warning like adult swim does. If parents do not want there kids to see the stuff is censored then do not watch it until the kids are not in the room and keep the volume down. It is also a waste of time because real life can not be censored like TV kids are going to see and hear things they probably shouldn't whether u like it or not.
