Anime Effect
Anime Relations: H2O: Footprints in the Sand
It's official. My first blog. Ever. Of course, of all places it could be, it's going to be on an anime review website. But hey, I do like anime, and I definitely enjoy reviewing shows I watch and reading the reviews of others.
So I'm somewhat of a newbie to the anime scene, as it is. I look at the list of anime I have watched and realize just how much I have seen, look at the hours of my life I've spent in front of a TV or computer screen solely for animated characters. But you know, I wouldn't change it. Quite a few of these masterpieces I have seen have changed my life and impacted me quite profoundly.
Take "H20 - Footprints in the Sand" as an example. It's overall score by users is a mere 7.48 by 4791 users. So it's considered average by many, not too exceptional. However, when I ended up watching this (which was just after I had been dumped by a girl I was planning on marrying), I submerged myself into this odd little tale and it affected me. I cried at parts, I wanted to know what was going on, wanted to know more, often found myself wanting to reach into my screen and slap some characters. I connected with this so well because I spend my middle school and high school days in a small town (6700 people) in a class of 85. Bigger than some, but still relatively small. So small town politics were in effect, and boy were they stupid and strange.
My point in writing this, is just that I'm glad to have found this website, where people like me can recommend and review great anime shows that have huge impacts on our lives.
If you've had a similar experience, leave me a comment or send me a message and let me know how something may have affected you, in what way, and to what extent. Thanks!
