So anyway...well, no, I didn't have anything substantial to speak about today. I don't even know why I'm posting a blog entry at all, today of all days. I feel a little queasy in the stomach due to both illnesses and Internet hate machines. I finally got my eBay order through but I believe my parcel will arrive too late after all. My candy stash is running out. I wanna see the next episode of Hell's Kitchen as soon as possible so I can get to see Aspergers guy get his face remodeled. And I'm starting to turn into a cactus.

Anime Relations: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Lucky☆Star

See, the thing is this. Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the (if not THE) verily most hyped Anime shows on this side of the galaxy. Wherever I turn to, on webpages like MAL and others, people dash out nines and tens to the show, praising it as unique, ground breaking, totally divine. I've simply never seen anything like it. Now, I have a very big question regarding all this.

Why?

This isn't an invitation to a flame war; it's a very honest question. It's obvious that I'm missing out on something totally grand here, and I just really, really want to understand what all the hype is about. I can agree that it's quite watchable; I enjoyed many parts of the show, I really did. The animation was smoother than silk at various parts, with deep pleasure for the eyes. But guys...is that the only reason as to why it's getting praised to the skies? Or maybe I'm simply annoyed over certain details in the show (where the heck is Mikuru's background story!? It wouldn't have changed in the least had she been a normal girl instead of a time traveller) and miss to see the whole-whole?

If anyone could shed some light over this, it'd be quite appreciated. I won't scold you, you may say anything you want to me. And if you could, would you also explain the apparent beauty of the Haruhi-horny series Lucky Star, which I also seem to have managed to miss?
