Basically a list of things I'm currently doing and possibly some of my thoughts on them. Hopefully I'll update it enough that it's worth keeping up here. I tend to have times when I get on MAL frequently, and then other times where I'll go weeks without really looking at it.

Currently Watching:

Hunter X Hunter (2011) - A remake of my favorite series. So far not even nearly as good as the original, but I'm still enjoying it a lot in its own light. :]

Natsume Yuujinchou/Zoku/San/Shi - I can't believe Natsume Shi is almost over. The third and fourth seasons really were great watches. Hotarubi no Mori e was wonderful as well. The mangaka's work is just amazing.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai - Series like these are the reason I love the slice of life genre so much; a bit somber, but with a bittersweet, heartwarming feel. It's like I want to smile and cry at the same time. I'm enjoying it a lot. The OP/ED's (especially the ending) are wonderful. I have high hopes for this.

Ookiku Furikabutte: Natsu no Taikai Hen - I've forgotten how cute/hilarious Mihashi's expressions always were, and I really missed Tajima's brazen nature ("Oh no! I forgot to masturbate yesterday!" Hahaha!!) . Thinking about it, I almost want to go back and watch the first season again (too late... I already went back and watched the entire first season again... -___-).

Kaiji: Hakairoku Hen - Ahh, Kaiji-kun.~~ You just never learn, do you? Even the first episode in you're already digging yourself a new hole. But that's part of your appeal, I guess. :3 You wouldn't be called the ultimate survivor if everything just fell nicely into your lap, and it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining to watch.

Fairy Tail - Let me rephrase, I'm not actually watching Fairy Tail. I'm waiting for the newest arc to finish so that I don't go crazy waiting for the next week's episode (all the while going crazy as I force myself to wait on the episodes that I have). The anime is completely generic shonen and I hated his last series (Groove Adventure Rave), so why do I like it so much?

One Piece - Wow, this just keeps getting more amazing. I can't believe I waited so long to get around to this!

Aria the Natural/Origination - Another lighthearted series that doesn't have much of a linear plotline, but doesn't need one in order to enjoy to its fullest. A lot like Natsume Yuujinchou, Mushi-shi, and Kino no Tabi in that it's a breath of fresh air after watching all that action and slapstick comedy. Beautiful sounds and music.

Currently Reading:

Chronicles of Amber - I've gotten about half-way through the series. It's a great story, but I haven't been in the mood to read lately, and it kills me that I haven't finished it yet. >.<

Yankee-kun to Megane-chan - I swear at this rate my stomach is going to rupture, this series makes me laugh so hard. Their facial expressions alone are just too much, add in dialogue and I can barely pay attention to what I'm reading because I'm still laughing at something said five pages before. If this ever gets licensed, I am going to be all over it. If it ever gets turned into an anime, I think I'll die of happiness.

Currently Playing:

Dungeons & Dragons: 4e Yeah, I know, haha. A friend invited me over to watch them play one night and the group ended up sucking me in. It's actually a lot of fun, and I don't mind being the kind of geek that says she plays D&D. ;P

Animal Crossing: Wild World - Addicted. Period, haha. I love open-ended games that just let me do whatever I want. Who knew paying of a mortgage could be so fun?~

Plants vs. Zombies - This game is an addicting time waster. I finished the adventure mode in a matter of days and now I'm trying to unlock the mini-games and just enjoying playing.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village (DS) - Playing 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors kind of got me interested in this series. I basically wanted something with a nice storyline and short puzzles that I could play in my spare time. It certainly fits the bill, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. I'll probably go for the sequels once I finish.

Pokemon Black Version (DS) - Took a long break but I'm pretty much finished with the story and just enjoying building on the dex and creating a party. Friends keep asking me to raise certain pokemon for them, and the dream world function is interesting, but getting old pretty fast.

Okamiden (DS) - Chibiterasu is just about the cutest thing to show its face on my DS screen. The more I play, the cuter he gets. The movement is a little choppier than I initially thought (almost as if the DS is having a hard time keeping up with the game's graphics, which is entirely plausible considering how nice they are), but the battle system is still pretty easy to maneuver, and the brush technique is much simpler using a stylus instead of a joystick. The story and characters alone are worth every penny I paid for this game.

Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs (DS) - I still have quite a bit to do in this game, even though I finished the main storyline; but I've been way too distracted with other things lately, and I don't doubt this is going to take the back burner with Pokemon Black and Okamiden still unfinished. Oh well.

I'm not all that great with profiles, most of the time they either turn out really wordy or I just throw in a random image and forget about the whole thing for months/years.

My name is Gina, most people call me Gina (boring, right?); I'm 23 and live in Las Vegas. No, I don't gamble, I rarely drink. I enjoy literature in various forms, including historical fiction, epic poetry, fantasy, folklore and some psychology studies. I also enjoy writing to an extent, as well as working with image editing software (Photoshop) and engineering design software (AutoCAD/Inventor/SolidWorks/etc.). I'm currently studying for a bachelor's in Architecture/Engineering.

Of course, as having an account on this site obviously implies, I thoroughly enjoy anime/manga. Anime-wise, I will try just about anything that's not mindless harem (mindless reverse-harem is okay though, hypocrisy aside). I've enjoyed many things from vastly different genres and plot settings, though my favorites tend to revolve around slice of life; but if you're wanting to recommend something, be my guest.

I'm a bit more picky with manga since I don't indulge in it as often. My favorite genre's are romance/shoujo and seinen/psychological/horror. I guess I'm just a sucker for nicely drawn men and intestines. I do read the occasional shounen, they're still relatively entertaining in an action movie you're only going to watch once in your lifetime kind of way (you barely know what the hell is going on anymore, but that gun fireball monologue sword is pretty big and you've already read the other 250 chapters, so you might as well finish it); and I really dislike reading anything that involves flashing panties or breasts, unless done in an ingeniously satirical sort of way (I'm looking at you, Kumeta-sensei).

I don't watch much TV aside from anime. If I do, it's usually either one of the three Law & Order series or some other crime drama (that's not CSI). I also enjoy watching shows about various theories/proofs of planetary and species evolution on the History/Discovery Channel, and culinary competitions on Food Network (even though my own highest caliber of cooking skill is probably chicken fettuccine alfredo out of a box...).

I'm being lazy, and I know many people don't like to read, so we'll put the rest of this in lists for now.
