My Top 10 Openings of 2015
Anime Relations: Kantai Collection: KanColle, High School DxD BorN, Absolute Duo, Shokugeki no Souma, Hidan no Aria AA, Haikyuu!! Second Season, Charlotte, Chaos Dragon: Sekiryuu Seneki, Gakusen Toshi Asterisk, Cardfight!! Vanguard G: GIRS Crisis-hen
Here we go, it's the end of the year, time to look over the openings of the year and evaluate what I liked! (Also including the Winter of 2014, since that's kind of combined with Spring 2015)
10.Bravely You - Charlotte
Loved this opening, the series itself brings memories back of Angel Beats. Lia's a great artist, and this song is no exception. The piano was a nice touch, not heard in many openings nowadays.
8.I'm A Believer - Haikyuu!
Volleyball! Fun anime, actually sticks to legit volleyball, unlike some sports animes (Prince of tennis, *cough*).
8.BLESS YoUr NAME - High School DxD BorN
Fan service, at every corner. Even if there was some story, I didn't notice it progress anywhere. Nice opening from ChouCho, especially when it's a style that she doesn't seem to do often.
7.ISOTone - Chaos Dragon: Sekiryuu Seneki
I still need to finish the anime. :P Though from what I've seen, there's a lot of dead characters, with little development for many of them. But the opening is good, it has a nice beat and impact throughout the song.
6.Absolute Soul - Absolute Duo
Your usual anime, with minimal story and character development. However, it was Konomi Suzuki singing for the opening, and she did it very well! Great opening, but the anime could have been much better.
5.Yaiba - Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Gear Crisis-hen
Cardfight Vanguard isn't something that everyone watches, but this season's opening is boss! Probably one of the best ones that I've heard for this series.
4.Kibou no Uta - Shokugeki no Soma
When cooking hypes you, damn. Great anime, makes you really want to learn how to cook. Then you actually learn and you lose all hope for trying out those amazing recipes in the anime. :'( This opening is very nice, somewhat soothing to me as I listen to it.
3.Miiro - Kantai Collection: KanColle
Miiro is soooooooo good. You can hear how much Akino put into the song as she sings it. I still laugh when people mishear this opening as well (WANKERRRR!!!) Can't wait until the movie and second season is out. I NEED MORE SHIP GIRLS!!
2.Bull's Eye - Hidan no Aria AA
Bull's Eye, you are a great song. Almost anything from Nano is great, though some just don't stick with me. It's not a surprise that Nano did a good job on this song, but I'm still surprised that she created such a well-done opening! The tone of the song is very fitting, especially as the series went on and had a darker tone. I'm just sad that it's over already. More Aria, pls.
1.Brand-new World - Gakusen Toshi Asterisk
My favorite opening for 2015! As an anime, Gakusen Toshi Asterisk is pretty average. Very nice animation in the fights scenes, this opening really matches the anime. It's very fast paced, and the beginning really makes it a great opening for me. The beat before the singing is great, and it really hypes you up. This should just be the second season's opening, unless they can trump that (Which I can't see happening, honestly).
