Of fishing and vending Machines!
Anime Relations: Durarara!!, Tsuritama
And thus, my anime kick has once again returned! Hi everyone! Its been awhile!
So since last i blogged I've read and watch a few things! One Piece, ludwig Revolution...But mostly i've been preoccupied with homestuck (which is on a hiatus thus explaining my kick). But now I'm back and watchin some good stuff!
On a whim, i picked up Tsuritama! It was really really good! It made me smile a lot and i really like it as a change of pace from the usual serious anime's I watch. It was really happy! i highly recommend it! (i might write a review).
After tsuritama, my friend had been getting me interested in Durarara! I knew of the show and vaguley of some of the characters, but never found much interest. Well, she did a live stream of the first three episodes for me...I'M HOOKED. Wow its such an amazing, deep, and well done show!
I'll have more on that when I finish!

What is wrong with me?
Anime Relations: Haru wo Daite Ita, Fuyu no Semi
So, for some odd reason, I find myself sitting here berating my eyesockets with an endless parade of stupid.
Translation=Axel has been watching yaoi again
Honestly, I am not a fan on the genre. Not because I am against gays. I love gays. I'm half of one myself. The general genre is just filled with dumb. Whether its bad story, bad characters, too much sex...whatever. They're is always something. My favorite is the convenient way everyone seems to end up gay. Literally, no sense. Best ones I've read so far? STILL Fake and New York New York. Seriously. Lets get real.
But, sadly, when I want to watch romance, yaoi is where I feel I have to go. I can't take all the "Does he love me? Maybe? I'll spend 20 episodes considering it!" When I want romance, I want it to happen within the first 5 episodes. I guess you can say I like adult relationships. Yaoi gets down to business. I am completely and 100% indifferent to the genders of the parties involved in a couple. AKA I just don't give a fuck. So watching two men doing it, although not arousing, doesn't phase me.
TL;DR I watch yaoi for the romance, not the fangirling over sex. If I want sex, I'll go out and get laid.
I've decided what I dislike the most about the genre is how misunderstood it is. I am reading and watching every title I come across because I enjoy stories. All I see from the fans is drooling over the sex scenes and OMG DAT BOI IS TOTS HOT. I feel like no tries to relate to them on a personal level. To the fans, it seems like all they care about is blah and blah are hot together. Half the time, I don't even remember I'm reading about two males till the clothes come off.
And then I realized thats why I stopped reading and watching the genre. I've seen real life gays harassed by yaoi fan girls simply because they are gay. I've also seen straight males who cosplay a popular non-cannon pairing as friends asked to do things. Hell, I once saw two brothers asked to make out on camera. It just the fact that no one can look beyond a persons body to see love is ridiculous.
I know...I rant to much

Touchdown!
Anime Relations: Eyeshield 21, Trinity Blood, Shaman King, Highschool of the Dead, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Highschool of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead
today marks a momentous occasion for me! I have completed my sixth series in the category of manga! Hazzah! But not only that! It was my longest manga to date! With 37 volumes and 333 chapters! What manga was it you ask?
Eyeshield 21
Let me say something about this manga. I hate sports. Playing them? Eh. Watching them? nah. Reading about them? Kill me please! Truthfully, I thought I would hate this manga when I picked it up for a buck a volume at Half price. I hate sports stories.
Not Eyeshield
This had to be the single most fantastic manga I've ever read. Shaman King is my number 0 simply because, to me, my first is unbeatable. Its the same with the anime. My number 1 anime? Easily Trinity Blood? My number one manga? Well...it was Trinity Blood...
Until Eyeshield sent a field goal right through my heart.
This is a manga I recommend to everyone. Period. It won first with a huge margin. Thats impossible for me. It clawed its way up the mountain before it was even over and managed to scramble to the top and kick (or in Hiruma's case shoot the hell out of) the others. That Manga is now untouchable. To beat it, you'd have to have me read a manga touched by GOD.
But anyway. Point being, yay! Success!
In other news. Since my last entry, I managed to watch both Panty and Stocking and Highschool of the Dead. Normally, I hate watching all the popular stuff, but heck, I figured it was short and sweet so why not (And honestly, If I stuck to what I would NORMALLY do, life would be no fun!)! I was surprised that I enjoyed them as much as I did. No. Not Top Ten material. Just surprisingly good.
Yay for things that finally prove I'm not some awkward rabid yaoi fangirl! Until next time!

And so my Anime Kick Returns
After a few month break that included many wonderful X-Men and JLA comics, I have returned to my anime kick! And wouldn't you know it? I've found myself in the middle of some good ones.
First off, I finally got to watch the anime I have been dying to see! Cyber City OEDO 808. Let me just say, it was worth the wait. A bit to short but dear god if you haven't seen this anime, you really should!
Alright, now for what I'm in the middle of. First, I decided to go back to my roots and have begun to re-watch Yu-Gi-Oh! Some of you had Pokemon, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball, I had Yugi Moto and his gang of card dueling bafons! It feels good to be watching it again. I also began Kikaider at the notion of a good friend of mine! Lovin it.
Last, my friend Sam and I have begun to watch a few series together. We both watched Cyber City, and together, we have delved into the world of the Twelve Kingdoms. I normally am not someone who watches animes that exceed 30 episodes, but heck, this anime has my attention! And Yu-gi-oh is a must watch lol!
i'll be writing my review for Cyber City here shortly! And I may have a recommendation for anyone who likes The Twelve Kingdoms! Hope you all read <3

Princess Princess and Star Driver
Anime Relations: Princess Princess, Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto
Hello everyone! I know no ones really reading this, but i might as well write something!
I finally got off my manga kick and after re-reading a few books, I'm back into anime! It's been a month since my last one though...
So since I last wrote, I watched a charming series called Princess Princess. I have to say, I highly recommend this! One of the most comedic and stirring series I have watched. Again, I know it looks bad for my no-yaoi rep, but it was to funny! Seriously am considering a cosplay from that!
Tonight, I have decided on a random whim to start Star Driver: Kagayaki No Takuto. I have no idea what this anime is about but life isn't fun without risks right? So I'll let everyone know how that goes!
Stay classy~

Uhhh...Hello..,
Hey everyone!
Well this my first little entry so we will see how this goes...
I should probably talk about what I have been doing [in the field of watching and reading anime/manga] so here it goes:
Happily, I have completed 4 manga titles in the past month [something I NEVER thought I would do] so hooray for me! It's funny, from the ones I've completed...you'd think I was some kind of yaoi fangirl...I actually throughly dislike the genre...But for some reason...I really like the characters aand plots...ah well! Love is love!
I was very happy to have finally read the Trinity Blood manga. That is one of my all time favorite stories, and the manga brought so much life into it! I was very happy I burned my retenias out reading this [I read manga using the internet on my Wii because I am able to zoom and read even when my parents lock my computer! Hazzah loop holes!]
Hopefully, I can add another manga to my list this week and maybe crack into another anime [I've been on a manga binge since I finished Model] but I'm having trouble deciding what to invest my time [and currently shot to hell eyesight] into!
I'll be putting out a few reviews and recommendations this week so have a look when those go up! Thanks everyone!
