Anime Relations: Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu

A few years ago,i started a forum called My Impressions of LOGH,where i posted a sort of rant/checklist of things i didnt like about Legend of the Galactic Heroes(its still there,althought you'll have to scroll to someone's reply to it to see it because i got rid of the original post when my opinion changed).I basically thought that the show was elitist and i made some bold claims about the show that were just not true, like the type where you ask "Did you watch the same show as me?".At one point,i decided to re-evaluate my opinion and try to look at the show again with a open-mind(which i usually do with any show,but didnt with this one for some reason).

After doing so,i can safely say that my opinion has changed and that i consider LOGH to be a pretty good show.It has flaws, mainly the ones that everyone else has already mentioned(its broad strokes on religion,few woman in the workforce or military,yangs borderline plot armor),but it is still a great show.I now kinda realize how rather bad my takes were and i 've wondered how to got to the point where i posted those takes,as i usually am a person who's open-minded and views things with a objective lens.After a while,i figured that i had come to that point because of two reasons.One,that i had perhaps viewed the show,or at least certain aspects of the show, through a rather strange or narrow lens(Kinda like how some people views movies/books/tv shows through a postmodern or marxist lens).Two,i just misinterpreted things and said things about the show that were just plain wrong.

But now that i've had time to look at things from a clear perspective, as well as reevaluate my own thoughts and beliefs(I've always heard that LOGH will do that to you),i see how wrong i was about the show.I hope with this post i can perhaps redeem myself(a bit dramatic, I know) and i can get back to viewing anime(and other things both fiction and non-fiction) with a open-mind,free of dogma and with a good balance of objective and subjective thoughts.

As for who's side i'm on,I'm Team Yang(Although i do obviously see the benefits of a autocracy due to Reinhards impressive reign).Viva Democracy!

Hello Everyone. I hope you are well.

I am doing alright. Doing my best to take it slow as always(although today felt a bit rushed). I was going to do a valentines day blog, but i just didn't get around to it. SORRY! But i did get to send some valentines to people. And i thanks all those who gave me valentines. Thank you very much.

I just got my laptop microphone working, so if you want to request something, then i'll do it. Just as long as it isn't really embarrassing.

Hi everyone. Hope you are well. I am doing alright. Just taking life at a slow pace, although sometimes the speed rises a little. I want to enjoy this stage in my life as much as possible and slowly too. I want to enjoy my life as much as possible.

My second semester of College has started.This year i am taking College Success(to help me plan out my career)English,Public Speaking,and Scriptwriting I.I already have a essay and some English homework do to do,but i'll be alright.So far all of my classes have been fun.Not boring at all.NOTE:Since i have now started college, my blog entries will not be every other week and such.I will still post blog entries,just not as often.

I'm not sure what my question i wanted to ask was right now. When i remember, i will post it on this entry. For now i have a couple requests.

Can any of you recommend me some good romance/slice of life anime’s? One's with good character development (meaning males get development as well,or they get the most development), no cheesy romance or humor, and a overall good feeling. An anime where you can learn something from the story would be good too. I have already watched 5 Centimeters Per Second, Whisper of The Heart,True Tears,and Toradora just in case you were going to recommend me those.

And

Can you recommend me any good action/adventure anime? An example of one i like is Spice and Wolf. Some live-action movies i like that you could use to recommend me something are Batman Begins (and its sequel), Willow, Harry Potter (The books rather than the movies), and True Grit. If you can't find anything similar to them in terms of subject, think about similarities in the morality of it, of what the deeper meaning is (society, personalities, why they do this, metaphors, etc.). I am thinking of watching Wolf's Rain soon, so if you have seen it,recommend me something that you think i would like if i like Wolf's Rain.

Thats the poem. I will write more, but they may or may not be as frequent.Here is my short story.


Luke was in love with a student from his middle school.Her name was Maria.She had short brown hair,brown eyes,and was 5.6.She often wore a blue shirt jacket with a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

She was kind,outgoing,was the student president to boot.In Luke's mind,she was the most amazing person in the world. Just to be in the same hallway with her made him nervous

As he walked by she looked at him and said,H-Hi.Shocked that Maria had actually addressed him he said,H-H-H-Hi,back to her and became so nervous and shaky that he dropped his books.A few of the students saw and laughed,a couple said "Wow,what a clutz".Maria had then hurried away,blushing and muttering as she passed him.

I am a clutz, aren't i"?Luke thought"I can't even confess to the girl i love, i just stand and shake like an idiot".

Luke was,at best,average.His grades were average,his looks was average,and his popularity was average.He had a few close friends, but no one from the so called " popular class".

Sometimes he wished he was a popular guy with lots of friends,good grades,and good at everything.

Then he though,Maria might notice him. But his fantasy was obscured by the fact that,no matter what he did,he would always be average.

The only thing he seemed to be good at was poetry.He spent most of his free time writing poems, about love,life,but mostly about love. A lot of the time,he would write confessions in the form of poems,and would imagine himself giving her the poem,and seeing her shinning face as she read the poem,and then hugging him and kissing him and... . "

WOAH!>;;;<Luke cried out.A few people in the hallway looked at him,a couple laughed,others gave him a wierd look and continued to their classrooms.Luke backed himself against the wall,trying to pull himself together.

"Since when do i think like that"? He asked himself"I never usually go that far"."I guess its because i feel so lonely today"He said"Well,better get to class before I'm late again".And so he gathering up his stuff,took a few deep breaths,and headed toward the classroom.

After school was over,he got together with a few of his friends,Mark,John,Vincent,and Nelson.They were all talking about what they were going to do together on the weekend.

"Hey,Said Mark"I hear John Mayer's gonna have a concert in town this weekend,you guys up for it?
"I'm in"Said John".
"Me two"Agreed John
"Nah"Said Luke.

"Your suppose to say me three"Said John annoyed."But their are four of us"Countered Luke."Oh,right i forgot"Said John.

"Your thinking about Maria again aren't you"?Said Mark. Mark knew his best friend very well indeed."Yeah"Said Luke,Without any denial in his voice.

"I think you should forget about it",Said John.

Luke looked at him in Disbelief

"Think about it,she's popular,class president,and pretty",Said John enthusiastically.

"And that says?"remarked Luke.

"That,no offense,your not",Said John."Your cool with us,but really she's way out of your league"

"Hey man,be careful",Said Nelson Sarcastically"You might hurt his feelings".

"Oh shut up you guys",remarked Mark sarcastically,as he pushed Nelson into a wall.Nelson laughed and pushed back.They did this for a minute and then laughed it off.

"I still think he's got a chance",Said Mark all of a sudden.

"Really"? Said Luke in surprise.

"Really",Mark replied,giving him a pat on the back."You'll get your moment",said Mark.

"Yeah,maybe you can announce it in front of the school at the end of the year",Nelson replied sniggering.

"I said shut up you guys",Mark replied back,laughing and pushing each other back and fourth again.

"My friends are little kids",Said Luke smiling as he watched them rough around.He followed them down and walk with them to the bus,talking about life and what others things they could think of.

Soon enough,it was Monday again. The sun was shinning under a bright blue sky and the birds were chirping under a blooming tree.It was truely a beautiful day.

As Luke got of the bus and walked towards the school,he though dwelled to Maria again and the poem he had finished late last night.

It was by far his best work,and he couldn't wait to show it to Maria."Check that,imagine showing it to Maria,though Luke,sighing as remembered that even if he could walk up to her and actually speak to her,he would never be able to say more than just a syllable.

As walked down the long hallway,he saw Maria and tried a quick glance.Maria saw him for just a moment.She blushed and kept walking at a fast pace.Mark had seen her do that before.

Whenever he had gotten into eye contact with Maria,she had usually blushed or looked away from him,getting her stuff together more hurriedly.She sometimes muttered something inaudible. He had wondered why she did that.

As far as he had known,she never acted that way with anyone else.Luke had sometimes feared that Maria might have noticed that he had been looking at her at times,and might have become afraid of him.

Of course,if this was the case, she would have already reported it to a teacher and he would have had his butt halted off to the principals office on suspicion of stalking her.Or maybe she was too polite and didn't want to cause trouble,so she didn't bother to do anything about it.

Luke kept on walking,wanting to get to class as soon as possible,to end the torture of being in the same place as Maria.But as he was walking towards homeroom,someone accidentally knocked into him,causing Luke to spill all his books,notes,and...

"N-no,Ahh!,proclaimed Luke,as his newest love poem to Maria flew out of his bag and near Maria and her locker,where one of her best friends,Margareta picked it up.

(the poem can be any poem you might have heard of,it can be the one i just wrote if you want)

Margareta started to read,the students nearest her and in the hallway watching.Margareta had occasionally seen Luke sometime give a quick glance to Maria,and she highly dissaproved of it. Sometimes she would complain to Maria,telling she outta do something about "that dirty boy". Luke couldn't stand to hear what was about to come,but he couldn't do anything about it.He was as stil as a statue.He tried to move a muscle but couldn't.So he waited for the inevitable.

As Margareta read,her expression changed from angry concern to interest to smiling to tearing up to finally,emotional. She looked as though she had been confessed to herself by the time she was done reading.She started tearing up with happiness and said,"That-Thats SO BEAUTIFUL!,and then she continued to tear up,looking at Luke in deep admiration.

Luke had not expected this.He had expected to shout "you pervert" at the very least. He was even more shocked when Maria came over to read it.

"N-No,i...uh..,he stammered.He couldn't say anymore.Maria read it through except that her reaction was more intense than that of her friend.She went from concern,to emotional,to finally pure joy and tears.

"I...I'm-I"m sorry i...uh..i didn't mean..he stammered,but before he could say anymore she had run up to him,pulled him into a tight embrace,and kissed him on the lips.

Luke went so red you could have mistaken him for a tomato.He was shocked,confused,and...happy.He felt so happy and overjoyed,like he had won the lottery,no,like he had become the ruler of the world,no,even greater than that.He kissed her back,embracing her,running his hand through her hair,happy to be alive.Over joyed that it was happening,that Maria was actually embracing him and kissing him.

It felt like hours,even though it was probably only a minute. When she let go of him,everyone slowly started to applaud and it wasn't mock applause either,but the good kind of applause.The students clapped harder,Mark,John,and Nelson whopped,and everyone else cheered.

Then the principal came out of nowhere and said"What IS going on?"."Get to your classes,right now".

After that,everyone stopped applauding and started heading for class as usual.Maria gave him one last look of happiness,kisses him again and headed of to her homeroom.

After school they talked.She told him that she had been in love with him since the beginning of school,but had been so nervous and so busy as student council,that she hadn't been able to tell him until now.

Luke was so happy that he didn't even mind that it had taken this long for her to tell him this.After all, he hadn't been able to say anything until now anyway.

"I love you",said Luke
"I love you too,said Maria

And they kissed under the setting sun.

And so,Luke and Maria became boyfriend and girlfriend.Their relationship started slow,but soon developed into something beautiful. They leaned on each other when things got tough,and their love never wavered no matter what the circumstances. Their relationship turned from starting to serious to unseperatable.Eventually,they got married and had three beautiful children.And today they still love each other as much as always,as they raise their family they built together with thier love.

And thats my short story.Just to let you know,this is my first serious short story(i have done a few others,but they weren't really short stories,and they were like only a paragraph long).Please leave a comment.I would like to see what you think of my first short story and my poem.

Hi,everyone. Hope you are well.^^ Sorry if i haven't written anything in a long while. I've been very busy visiting family and friends during Christmas and the holidays, so i haven't had much time to write my blog. I haven't had much to say either until now. I will write more often now that the holidays are over(although some people are probably still partying^^), and i will make sure to keep writing even when college starts and i get really busy.

Today i would like to have yet another short discussion about anime. Today's discussion is about how in a lot of romance/drama anime or romance animes in particular, they seem to focus a lot on the girls.

I know girls and romance fit together a lot, but the male's are important too.>< Of course, their are several reasons why they do this. One, demand from fans and such(anime fans love to see hot girls on the screen, and they love the bikini pictures that come along with them). Two, the fact that in a lot of the anime, the girls are the most character developed.Three, for some people it's easier to write about girls than boys. Four, its just a essential part of the story.

Of course, for a lot of good anime's(Toradora,Clannad,Spice and Wolf,etc) this isn't necessarily true. Clannad's lead male Tomoya Okazaki is a very important male character, one of the few very well developed and awesome male characters. But if you look at it from a certin point of view it is a bit true. One can argue that the female characters dominate a lot of the show. One can also argue that both the main male character and the female main character are most important, because of what they learn from each other, how their differences bounce of each other endlessly, and how they unite or become temporary friends because of a common goal, and eventually either become close friends, or fall on love with each other.

But mainly because of demand,popularity,and apparently because its easy to write about girls for the Japanese(no offense intended)(it doesn't help that some of these titles where made into or originally dating games and such), you get the impression that its about the girls.

Of course, that doesn't mean that all romance anime is like that. Not all of it has been for me either. Clannad is very much just about two main Characters Tomoya Okazaki and Nagisa Furakawa, and lightly about the other female characters. Although there are two extra episode that are the "what if he ended up with her" type of episode. But that of course is because of the fans and because clannad was sorta based of a dating game( DO NOT LET THIS TURN YOU OFF,CLANNAD IS A AWESOME STORY!!).

Toradora also mainly about the lead male and lead female, although in Toradora they focus a lot more on the supporting characters as well. If you look at it from a certin point of view though, one can see that the female characters dominates the show by just a incy bit. Ruuji is a pretty good male character though (not as good as Tomoya Okazaki, but still good). He has his flaws,his strengths,he makes mistakes and learns from them, and he is a nice and supporting guy. Although sometimes he doesn't always catch on to whats going on.

Spice and Wolf is also another one where the male(Craft Lawrence) and the female(Holo) can be called equally important. At the same time, some can say that Lawrence actions are based upon Holo's responses and what happens to her, but this is not necessarily true.

Lawrence does make his OWN decisions, and considers the consequences for his actions. He has real feelings,although he doesn't always understand Holo's feelings,(he does his best though). He has his own opinion, his actions are not influenced by others(on rare occasion,holo,but that's about it), and learns from his mistakes, and grows stronger from these. The relationship with him and Holo is one that is funny,interesting,and develops very well thorough the series.

Their are also some anime or manga that do focus on the male the most, but are usually not the most popular for several reasons. One i know of is Onani Master Kurosawa(which i am currently reading). But if you know what it is about, then you know why it is not the most heard of manga(although it does have a high ranking). For those of you who don't know what it is about, i suggest unless you are into psychological mangas, or are willing to read about a topic that would the last thing on our minds(hint:what does Onani mean?), then i suggest you don't read this manga.

Overall,though because of certin views,demand,popularity and such, most people only care about the female characters. I wouldn't say all because their are some of us, who care about both make and female characters, or care more about the story than the characters, or care more about development,or all of the above. I care about both the male and female characters when it comes to anime(not just romance anime, but all anime). But after thinking about it and watching and reading some more romance anime, i had to consider this topic of discussion.

All romance anime seems to have a certin pattern/s. Some anime break this pattern by doing something unpredictable or by doing it in a way we can relate to closely,or by making it a romance story without much romance. I would like to see something like that in an anime.

I have already seen it once or twice(might have just been one time) in a manga,but i want to see it in a anime. Their might be already some anime out there that are like that, and i just haven't been looking closely enough, or I'm just a little too critical.

Some are probably on my plan to watch list already(like Nodame Catabile, Elf-a Tale of Memories,5 Centimeters Per Second, or Honey and Clover). But just in case, i would like to see if any of you have seen an anime where the male character is more important than the female, or at least equal.

Sorry if i sounded overly critical and such>< , i just wanted to point this out and see what your thoughts were. I did not mean to be critical on purpose 98%. I have not watched that much romance anime either(although a fair amount), so I'm probably being very Hypocritical right now. I AM VERY VERY SORRY><><. THAT WAS NOT MY INTENTION.>_<

But just as a small request(you don't have to do it), i would like you to list anime or manga you have seen that have those qualities. It can be anything except for horror,Elfen Lied anime,and things related to Naruto. Just leave a comment. You are welcome to leave you opinion their as well, no matter how critical it is. I will welcome whatever anyone from anywhere has to say.

....Looks like the discussion ended up being longer than i though.^_^ he he ^^;. In that case, i will tell you some quick updates and then post more things on the next blog entry(which will be within a week at the most).

Update 1: Jack and Anne is on-hold temporarily. I will get it back up when i feel like writing more of the story and such.

Update 2: More poems will be coming, but not until the next blog entry. Also, i plan on writing a short story and posting it here. It will be my first time writing a short story,so don't be too harsh.

Update 4: I plan to create a club in the near future that's mission is to get all incomplete anime complete. Anime's such as Kare Kano,Beck,Fruits Basket, and other anime's that were never completed will be our goals to finish. So if you are interested in joining,again leave a comment and i will add you. Feel free to leave any suggestions or opinions on this matter.

And that's my song. Feel free to comment on it. Criticizing is allowed. I may or may not post more songs since i can't show you what the song sounds like.....yet. Until i get a microphone for my voice and background music that is. But if you really want me to, i will post more songs that i have written or have recently written....or am going to write.

I have one other request to ask of you. Actually its more of a Recommendation. I would like all of you who read my blog(or take a quick glance if you happen to stumble upon my profile) to listen to a piano artist called Yiruma(you say like this I-Ru-Ma). He is a Korean piano player....and he is AWESOME. His music has lots of depth, lots of emotion, and lots of feeling. AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. His music can literally change the mood your in(from happy to sad, sad to happy,numb to emotional, that sort of thing). It is some of the most unique piano playing i have ever heard(i like Billy Joel too, but that's a whole different catagory; plus Billy Joel is in his own top class). Hello,everyone. I hope you are doing well. At long last:), the first episode of the anime series Jack and Anne is finished! and here it it is.

Note- This is a rough draft.

Setting-Kenyon High School, Gambier, Ohio (originally is a college, but changed it to high school for the sake of this story)

(Jack is walking to school on a beautiful fall day in September)(
The Trees sway in pretty colors of yellow, orange, and red as the loose leaves fly with the wind)

(I'm not sure exactly what Jack would look like, if thier are any drawers out there, try and draw what Jack might look like based on a sort of description)
(Jack has blue eyes, brown hair, and is a medium build)
(not bodybuilder wise, but not overweight wise either)
(sorta in between)
(He's 6ft maybe 6ft1inch)
(He is wearing a Jacket with a t-shirt underneath, and some blue jeans and sneakers)
(He is in Sophomore Year)


(The scent of autumn in the air)
(He is walking with casualty and calmness, but has one thing on his mind that is slightly nagging him)

Jack- (sigh) Another year at school. Where did summer go?
Jack-Well its not like I wasn’t warned about it

(a month earlier jack is chilling in his room and reading mom comes in)
Mom- Jack, I really suggest you get ready for school. It’s gonna come sooner than you think.
Jack-Aww, common Mom I still have a month left. Give me a break
Mom-Fine, when you wake up late and unrepresentable, don’t blame me!(closes the door and jack keeps reading and chillin)
Jack- Why don’t I ever listen to her? Oh well at least she has one thing wrong. I’m not gonna be late. I never have been anyway?

(suddenly out of nowhere, Kevin, a annoying gansta like boy, approaches jack)
Kevin- Hey Jackson, whats up man?
(Jack frowns) Oh crap, not him, not him, not him
Kevin- How’s my favorite bro doing huh?
Jack- You’ve never called me your bro before.
Kevin- Well, you are now
(Sarcastically) Jack-Great, just great
(Missing the sarcasticness) Kevin- Yeah it is man. Listen, I just found this great opportunity to make a bit of cash and to make an impression with everyone.
Jack- What makes you think I wanna join in on another of your get rich-get popular schemes?
Kevin-Because this one’s guaranteed to work, it’s all set up and everything.
Jack- Yeah, that’s what you said last time, you ended up getting a wedgie by one of the school bullies, and I had to scare him off, grab you from the flagpole, and bring you to the principal’s office. I almost got suspended just for being a participate.
(Kevin is a bit embarrassed by the memory but recovers quickly)Kevin- Com’n man that was ages ago.
(Gets a little more bored and irritated) Jack- Last Year
Kevin- Okay, so I miscalculated the situation
Jack- I don’t think you even though about it in the first place.
Kevin- But this time it’s gonna work. Look if it doesn’t work this time, I won’t bother you again. I swear.
Jack- (sigh) Fine, but I’m gonna say it’s your fault and you forced me into it if something goes wrong.
(a little concerned now, but puts it aside)Kevin- Fine, lets go.
(Jack starts to follow Kevin in a different direction)
Jack- Their must be something seriously wrong with me if I’m actually following him.SERIOUSLY WRONG.



(Kenny walks towards a tree and Jack follows, Kevin motions him to hide, jack hides behind the tree Kenny is hiding in)

Kenny- Alright, just sit back and watch for now, then when it's the right time, I'll give you the signal to appear.

Jack- What do you mean "when it's the right time"

(Jack looks and sees a young man from school lying on the ground, looking scared and intimidated, next to him is a girl, who is more frightened, shaking)

Student(boy)- I-I-I look, i didn't d-do anything to you, so p-please leave us alone, will ya.
(The girl is too scared to say anything)

Bully- YOU LIAR, I'm give you double the pain for that excuse!
(The bully cracks his knuckles, and the girl lets out a sort of squeak while the boy covers himself)

(Jack turns to Kenny, obviously angry)

Jack(in a not loud voice) You upset on of the school bullies and got a student involved?!

(Kenny looks a little scared, but keeps his cool)

Kenny- Well...Yeah. I couldn't ask anyone else; they'd think i was acting suspicious or something . Plus,i had to upset him in order to set it up. Couldn't act suspicious.

Jack(like you don't act suspiciously) So you just picked a student at random and asked him to stage your little scheme?!

(Kenny gets a little more scared, but stills keeps his cool, and says)
Kenny- Well, not exactly

Student(boy)- Look, I dont know what your talking about! P-Please leave us alone!

Bully- Time For the Pain!

(Bully starts to approach them)

(girl starts to shake more violently and starts to whimper)

(Jack instantly gets what he is saying, grabs Kenny by the scruff of his shirt, and raises him up high)

Jack- You didn't tell him anything!!?

(Kenny is really frightened now)

Kenny- N-no, i though it would be best that way, you know

Jack- Of course you would, you never take other people into consideration. Always taking the easy way out, IDIOT!

(Jack throws Kenny against the tree (not too hard) as he says IDIOT)

Jack- I gotta help them.

Kenny- Exactly. Great Timing.

Jack- Shut up!

(Bully is about to start kicking and punching the boy, with the girl watching, still shaking, and covering her eyes in fear)
(Jack walks towards him)
Jack- Hey, you!
(Bully Turns around)
Bully(with a smug)-What?
(Jack pushes him so that he falls hard onto the ground, the bully is momentarily stunned)
(Jack turns and walks toward the student and pulls him back on his feet)
Jack- Are you okay?
Student- Y-Yeah im, (turns to look at Jack) AHH!

(Student stammers and starts to shake)

Jack (realizing what the guy thinks of him) Wait, it's okay, im not gonna hurt you.
(Student is still shaking and starts to back away from him)
Jack- I'm not who you think i-
(Student runs away, AHHHH!)
Student(girl) looks at him and runs away too)
(Jack sighs stressfully and slightly sadly)

(The principal suddenly runs towards them, looking both angry and concerned)

Principal- Hey! What just happened?

(He turns to looks at Jack, and then Kenny, lying at the foot of a tree)

Principal- (with slight sarcastiness) I should have known the two of you were involved in this! Is this another one of your rescue DAMSEL in distress schemes?

Jack(DAMSEL in distress schemes?)

(Jack, calmly but a little angrily because of Kenny points at Kenny and says)
Jack- It's all his fault
(Kenny gets angry and shocked)
Kenny- That's not true! You were involved too! You agreed to this!
Jack- I had nothing to do with this
(Kenny gets more shocked at what in Kenny's mind is Jack's Betrayal, and then starts to get scared)
Jack- I was brought here by force.
Kenny- That's a lie!
Principal- Really?
(The bully, who had come round when the principal came marching in, speaks)
Bully-YOU"RE THE LIAR KENNY. YOU SAID THAT A STUDENT HAD SAID SOME CRAP THING ABOUT ME. YOU TOLD ME HIS NAME AND TOLD ME WHERE HE WAS. I EVEN HAD TO INTIMIDATE THIS GIRL IN ORDER TO GET TO HIM. YOU SAID NOTHING ABOUT A RESCUER,TWERP.
(The principal turns to Kenny, with a look that seriousness and smug satisfaction)
Kenny- I-Its not what you think. Wait, I mean, hes li-

Principal- Well, i think that's enough evidence to send you and your big friend here(points to the bully) to two months worth of detention.
(Kenny, still sacred starts shouting)
Kenny- Wha,what about him?! (Points to Jack)
Principal- He wasn't INVOLVED.
Kenny- AHHHHH! No,No,No you can't put me in detention with him, he'll beat me to pulp.
Bully- I'll beat you up so much they won't be able to recongnize you!
Kenny- AHHHH! Please, put me somewhere else, PLEASE.
(While Kenny says this, this principal grabs both of them by the back of their shirts and starts dragging them away)

Principal-(sigh) Lets go boys.
(Kenny still shouting while being dragged says)
Kenny- I'll get you for this!
(Jack sounding angry yet controlling, say)
Jack- (shouts a little) Like I'm gonna see you again.
(Jack sighs and starts walking to school again, eventually starting to run)


Setting--Kenyon High School, Gambier, Ohio
a quarter of a mile near the front gates
(Jack finally gets to school, only to find he is 30 minutes late)
Jack- (sigh) Great, now im late because of that idiot.
Brandon- What idiot?
(Two of Jacks only friends from elementary school, Brandon (brown haired,blue eyed, 5ft9 and slim build) and Mark (Brown eyed, Brownish-Black hair ,5ft8 and skinny build)come walking over to Jack)
Jack- Oh, hey what’s up?
Mark- Sup?
Brandon- So, who’s this idiot?
Jack- Kenny
Brandon- Don’t tell me you accepted to be a part of one of his damsel in distress plans.
Jack- He wouldn’t have left me alone till I had…. But I think this time he’s gone for good.
Mark- Why is that?
Jack- He got carried away by the principal….and the other guy who is swindled said he would beat him until he was unrecognizable.
Mark- Ohh, that not good. Usually he says something like ill beat the crap outta ya.
Brandon- Or I’ll
Mark- But till he’s unrecognizable?
Brandon- (with no fear) Scary
Mark-Yeah
Jack- So are you guys late too?
Brandon- I’m not late, I just got permission from the teacher to see if you arrived yet, but Mark was late.
Jack- Why?
Mark- Well…..
(The scene goes to Brandon and Mark running towards the bus stop, Mark is trying to hold some papers together)

Brandon- You should put those on a clip mark, otherwise their gonna fall
Mark- Its fine, let’s focus on catching the bus.
Brandon- I'm telling you, their gonna fall out.
Mark- Their not gonna fall out..AHHHHHH!

(the papers fall outta his hands and start to scatter all over the place)
Mark- AHH! Hey! Help me out.
Brandon- Sorry man, gotta catch the bus,
(says this as he gets on the bus, then he says)
Brandon- Call me when you get there!
(Mark goes on trying to catch his papers, without much success)
(the scene goes back to the present)
Mark- It took me about a half hour to get my papers back together, then I had to ask my mother to drive me here.
(Brandon and Jack snigger)
Mark. Not funny. Why didn’t you help me?
Brandon- Dude, I’ve already helped you a thousand times already. Its time you take more responsibility for yourself.
Mark- I do take responsibility for myself! I’m just not very good at it.
Brandon- Anyway, we’d better head back to class.
(Brandon, Mark, and Jack run back to class)
(the scene dissolves to algebra class, the teacher is about to start)

Anne( to herself) So who's late?
(Jack walks in along with Brandon and Mark)
Anne(still to herself) Oh, its Jack
(Jack walks by her trying not to look at her, and takes a seat, sighing and feeling a little depressed)
Anne(still to herself) Humph, doesn't look much like a bully to me, he's probably just some showoff who likes to do everything perfectly and he finally messed up. He probably brags too. The snob.
(Anne then ignores him completely and focuses on her paper and then on the teacher, everyone follows suit)

Teacher- All right, time for algebra to begin
(Everyone moans)

Mark- I thought we already took algebra last year.
Brandon- We failed remember?
Mark- Then why is Jack here? He should have passed
Jack- I failed so I could be with you guys.
(Both of them sigh)
Teacher- So we begin……….
(Jack meanwhile starts to space out but spots Anne listening intently, and he starts to go into a daze)
Jack- (in his thoughts) Anne, Anne, brown eyes like the autumn leaves, (Teacher says “Jack, can you answer this next question) beautiful long hair like soft as the wind on a brisk day,(Jack) And such a wonderful voice like a an-
Teacher- JACK!
(Jack comes abruptly out of his daze, but in the wrong way)
Jack- ahhh, uh… You’re beautiful!
(Everyone bursts into laughter; Mark and Brandon try to hold it in)
(While everyone’s still laughing)
Brandon (whispering)- Well, I could have been worse.
Mark (whispering)- (mppphhh) How?
Brandon (whispering) He could have said “I love you”
Mark- Oh, right (still trying hard not to laugh)…Sorry
(Jack is both embarrassed and ashamed of his outburst in front of the class)
Jack- I-I-I’m sorry, I mean, uhh…
Teacher- Well… (a little embarrassed) thank you er…
Jack- The answers y=2
Teacher- V-Very good. Yes… The answers y=2
(Everyone is still laughing a little, but it has reduced to small laughter and some giggling from the girls)
Teacher- W-Well then, lets move on shall we?

(after class, everyone leaves in small groups, some still giggling about what Jack did, and some talking gossip or talking about the next class)

(Jack stands alone for a minute, letting others pass by him, still feeling embarrassed and ashamed)

Jack(in thoughts) I can't believe i said that! What was i thinking? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

(Brandon walks up Jack, and pats him on the back)
Brandon- Hey man, are you alright?
Jack- Huh....oh yeah I'll be alright.
Jack- Where's Mark?
Brandon- Oh, he had talk about something with the teacher.
Brandon- You were daydreaming about Anne again, weren't you?
Jack-(a stressful rather than longing sigh) Yeah.
(Jack looks over at where Anne and her group of friends)
Brandon- It'll be alright, okay.
Jack-Okay
Mark- I'm back.
Jack- Common lets eat
(Jack,Brandon, and Mark head to the cafeteria)

(At lunch time, Jack gets a chicken sandwich and some milk, and sits with Brandon and Mark on the right side table near the windows)
(Brandon and Mark have already started eating, but Jack does not eat right away, he is still troubled by what happened in algebra class and he is slightly worried about whats to come)
Mark- Are you gonna eat?
Jack- I’m not hungry anymore.
Mark- Can I have it?
Jack- Sure
(Mark starts to grab towards the food)
Brandon- Don’t even thinks about it.
(Mark slowly recoils his hand)
Brandon- Your going to eat. Now, eat
(Brandon shoves it toward him)
Jack- I don’t want to.
Brandon- Eat (Keeps shoving it)
Jack- No!
Brandon-Eat
Jack-No!
(Shoves it for a while, Jack resisting still)
(Brandon gives up and gets back into his seat)
Brandon- Look, if you don’t eat, your going to be more depressed than you already are.
Jack (thinks for a second) Your probably right.
Brandon-Probably?
(Jack takes a bite, but leaves it at that)
Brandon- Still worried about what happened in Algebra?
Mark- Don’t worry about it. Joe Bickson did the same thing a few years ago remember, and everyone forgot about it after a couple of days.
Jack- Its not that. It just I don’t think Anne even likes me.
Brandon-(through a little food in his mouth) Why would you say that?
Jack- I don’t know. I just have the strangest feeling that she doesn’t like me. Probably thinks I’m some sort of bad boy or something.
Mark-(slightly laughing) Dude, I’ve known you since elementary school, and I KNOW your not bad boy.
Brandon- I’d say you’re the exact opposite of a bad boy
(Jack gets a little concerned)
Brandon- Not in that sense, people see you as guy who’s scary and intimidating.
Jack- Gee thanks.
Brandon- But deep down, you’re very generous, kind, and just willing to get along with everybody.
(Jack nods but still looks troubled)
Brandon-All you have to do is let people know that, and they will start to understand you and like you, you might even make some more friends besides me and this little pipsqueak
Mark- Pipsqueak!? Who are you callin-
Brandon (laughing) I’m just kidding, man. I’m just kidding.
Mark- (a little sarcastically) Of course you are. (rolls his eyes and smiles)
Jack- I know that, I just wonder if I really wanna do that, or whether I can do it at all
Brandon- Well, you can’t rely on us forever. We will help out a bit, but you gotta do the rest. I know you can do it.
Jack-(smiles a little) Okay. I’ll do my best.
(Jack then looks over at the table where Anne and her friends are talking and looks back again)
Ashley(Blond haired,thin, 5-6)- Hey, did you see what Jack did?
Jeanette-(Black haired,a little less thing than Ashley, 5-7) Yeah, (laughs softly a little rudely)) wasn’t that embarrassing?
Ashley- It was funny though (laughs softly), I think that’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened in any of my classes. (Laughs again)
Anne- (Brown-Haired,thin,5-7) (will have better description in next episode)It was stupid really.
Ashley- Yeah, but funny.
Anne- (in a slightly annoyed attitude) But STUPID, he really shouda been paying attention. I mean that was so embarrassing.
Jeanette- Yeah, but it is the first thing I’ve heard him say since he got here.
Ashley- That’s true, doesn’t talk much does he?
Jeanette- Maybe he was just trying to talk, but it came out like that
Ashley- Who tries to say “you’re beautiful to someone, that’s like almost a love confession.
Anne- He’s probably just a showoff.
Jeanette and Ashley- A showoff?
Anne- Yeah, he gets good grades, he stays outta trouble,and he’s the tallest guy in school. And he probably does it to show that he can do better than everyone else. And he probably intimidates the other top-students into not getting in his way. I mean, really that’s just not cool. I hate people like that
Jeanette- Isn’t that a little harsh, I mean, you could be wrong, he may not be that type of a person at all.
Ashley- And it doesn’t sound to me like you really hate him (giggle). In fact, it sounds like you might have a little crush on him. (giggle)
(Anne blushes and gets furious, but does not rise)
Anne- That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I do NOT have a crush on him; I do not even care about him in the slightest. He’s just a mean showoff who likes to be the best at every damn thing ever!
Jeanette- Okay, Okay, whatever you say, whatever you say, just calm down
Ashley- Yeah, you don’t wanna cause a disturbance with all these people around.
Anne- Oh (suddenly is aware of how loud she had almost been, and becomes a bit self-conscious), yeah, y-your right.. yeah. Let’s end the subject.
Jeanette and Ashley- Yeah, lets.
(They start to finish eating and start to get up, we quickly go back to Jack and the others who are talking about music and other stuff)
Jack- Well gotta get back to class. Let’s go
Brandon-Lets.
Mark- Yep
(And they all get up to leave with everybody else)

(As they are heading to thier next class, another student approaches them)
Vladimir- Hey, its Jack right?
Jack- Yeah, whats your name again?
Vladimir- Vladimir, nice to meet you (they shake hands)
Vladdimir- Anyway, we need another player for a basketball game during gym class. You wanna play?
Jack- Uh...no not really. Thanks though.
Vladdimir- Oh comon man, i heard your really good.
Jack- Where did you hear that from?
(Vladdimir points to Brandon)
Jack- Brandon! Why did you do that?
Brandon- I didn't intentionally do it. He asked, so i answered. Thats all.
Jack- You know, your good with encouragement and everything, but sometimes not too good with thinking about what not to say.
Brandon- Sorry.
Vladimir- Comon man, we just need ONE more player.
Jack-No
Vladimir- please,please,please,please,please,please.
Jack- All right, All right, I'll play
Vladimir- Thanks man, i'll meet you in a hour at the gym
(Vladimir runs off, leaving Jack relieved, but uncertain about whats to come)
Jack- I'm not even a sports person
(The scene dissolves to Jack, Mark, and Brandon getting ready for the basketball game in gym class)
(Jack isn't nervous, but a little irritated that he has to play)
Jack- I'm not even that good.
Mark(while slightly laughing) You don't have to be, you're so tall, nobody can get ya.
Brandon- He's got a point.
Jack- I'm more concerned about my image.
Mark- If you win this match, I don't think you should have to worry about your image.
Jack- That's not what i meant.
Brandon- Anyway, it's too late now, time to play.
(Jack, Brandon, and Mark get up and start to walk toward the basketball field)
(Everyone else is waiting for them, Vladimir is the co-captain, while Brandon is the captain for thier team)

(The teams huddle their players up to go over the game plan, Brandon starts already)
Brandon- Okay, what we’re going for is speed and cunning. The other team is gonna try and steal the ball from us when we least expect it, so were going to have to be quick and aware of everything. They might also try and trick us, to make us think they made a huge mistake, and then take the lead from us.
Player- Like a weasel.
Brandon- Yeah, I guess you could say that. Anyway, we just need to be aware of ourselves and keep the ball moving as fast as possible. You four do that. Jack and Vladimir will guard (Jack- As Usual) and I’ll lead. Hands together.
(The team puts their hands together)
Brandon- Okay, 1, 2, 3
Team-Go Team!
(The other team says the same, and both teams get into their respective positions)

(Coach blows whistle-START!(The ball is passed to Benny (the captain of the other team), then to Brandon, then to Benny, then to Brandon, and Brandon starts)
(Brandon starts by quickly passing the ball to player 2(numbers go from 1 to 10) 2 quickly passes to 4 to 6(Mark) who scores)
(everyone cheers and get's back into position)
(this time,the other teams leader, Benny, starts,he tries to scoot around Brandon, and surprisingly succeeds,but is blocked by a lot of players, so he throws to his players number 5 who shoots and scores)
(this goes on for a while, Brandon's team being fast and steady, and Benny's team doing a lot of sneak attack for the ball, once or twice even tripping a player without the coaches noticing)
(But by the end of class,it's at the breaking point. Brandon is stuck between trying to grab the ball from Benny, risking missing and Benny scoring the winning points, or letting him shoot and trying to block. He tries plan a, and successfully stops Benny from shooting, he passes to player 7, then to player , then to player 3 (Jack), Jack stands still for a moment, not knowing what to do, he had never been tossed the ball before)
Mark- Shoot!
(Jack shoots...........and scores the winning points)
(Brandon's team cheers loudly and carries Jack up on his shoulders)
(Jack tries to tell them to stop, because he doesn't want people carrying him like he's a hero, but to no avail)
(He looks to the Brandon for help, but he is busy cheering)
Brandon- YEAH! AWESOME! GREAT SHOT JACK!
(He looks to the crowd, and see's Anne and her friends who had apparently been watching,(hmph,showoff she says in her mind) and walks away her head high in the air, and her friends follow)
(Jack sighs depressingly again and the scene dissolves to Jack sitting on a bench, waiting for the bus to arrive)
Jack-(in his thoughts) I did it again. I made myself look like a idiot. Damn! I don't think she's ever gonna look at me again now that this is happened twice in a row. (sigh) I guess i'll just move on then, all by myself, with no one else to share my life with.

(Anne approaches him from a doorway out of the main hallway without him noticing)

Anne- Hey, Jack
(Jack turns to see Anna, actually talking to him)
Jack- Oh, uh, yeah.
Anna- Can you help me with this quickly, I kinda don’t understand it
Jack- um...Okay. You really wanna ask me for help?
Anna- Well I was going to ask the teacher, but he’s busy, and then I thought maybe I’d ask Brandon or Mike or Max, the other tutors (Jack just signed up as a Math tutor). But they were already tutoring others so I came to you.
Jack- You mean I’m just a last resort?!
Anna- Well. Yeah
(Jack falls over like in the comics)
Anna- You okay?
Jack- ..Yeah, fine, just tripped over
Anna-…right, com’n let’s get started, I gotta meet my friends someplace later anyway.
(they walk to a bench near the parking lot, Anna sits down and takes out her notes and book, Jack sits down and waits patiently)
(Anne shows Jack a algebra question, something along the lines of Y2+z5-26=5-X7+9)
(Jacks shows her how to solve it, and then Anne solves it on her own)
(She does the same thing with a few more problems)
Anne- Okay(with a little annoyance) Thanks.
(Anne is annoyed not only at the fact that he's smart, she is also annoyed that he seems to be pretty good at almost everything else (although he doesn't think so).
Anne(with more annoyance) Since you're so good at this, why don't you be a member on the student council or Student council President or Something (that would make your day)
(Jack is surprised when Anne addresses him, but as calmly as he can(he's a little nervous around her) he says)
Jack- Well.....The thing is....I don't even like being this smart.
(Anne is a little surprised at this)
Jack- I mean, I like it that I'm not failing or anything, but it's like the only thing I'm good at doing(besides basketball)... and it irritates me.

(Anne keeps listening, fascinated a little by what he has to say, Jack is getting more confident as he's speaking)

Jack- I don't wanna be acknowledged as a high ranked, good at everything,and intimidating king of guy.
Jack-...... I just want to be the type of guy who can make friends with everyone, and have a normal school life. Nice Friends, a happy relationship with...someone, and a good school life.

Jack- I just wish people would stop judging me just because of the way i look and the way i seem at act.

(Anne starts to realize that her assumption of Jack was completely wrong, and his words start to affect her somewhat)
(Jack though, feels that he said too much, and is a little embarrassed)
Jack- I guess is sound kinda stupid, don't i?
Anne- No, you don't. In fact, i feel that way sometimes too.
(Jack looks at her surprised)
Anne-(she stands up and looks ahead) But instead of worrying, i just keep moving forward, and i don't worry about what other people might think...you should try it.(she turns to him) I bet there are plenty of people just waiting to get to know you, you know. (she notices how nice she's sounding, and gets a little annoyed again) You just gotta get out there, and stop complaining. Okay?
(Jack is slightly inspired by her words)
Jack-..Okay, I'll do my best.
Anne- You do that. Thanks for the help.
(Jack still a little nervous says)
Jack- No problem
(She smiles at him, and he smiles back, or tries to smile back, and they both walk away in different directions)
(The bell rings for the end of school and the buses have arrived)
(They both head for different buses to take them home)
(Jack waits a moment to enjoy the autumn air, and then get's on the bus)
(Jack takes a seat in the middle of the bus on the left side, he sits right next to Mark. Brandon is sitting on the right side of the middle of the bus)
Mark- Hey man, how did go?
Jack- It was....great.
Mark-hmm........huh?
(The bus starts again and heads on a certin route to Jack's home)

(Anne starts to walk across the road to the other side (Note, Jacks bus and her bus run on different sides of the road, and Jack's bus stop is a little more distance then where hers is) where her bus is going to go)
(Unfortunately, She doesn't see a car that's fast approaching, and just a few steps from getting onto the sidewalk, she trips, her legs land right where the car's left wheel is coming, and the care runs over her legs, breaking them)

(Anne screams in Pain, Terrible Pain, and clutches onto her legs, crying very hard)
(Someone hears her screams)
Someone- Hey, what happened?
(He notices her clutching her legs, and he gets what happened at once)
Someone- Someone call the hospital...QUICK!
(Some people come over t o help carry her to a bench while they call the hospital)
(Meanwhile, Jack is talking with Mark about something on TV)
Mark- Look, That's not how i saw it.
Jack-Well, that's how the story's suppose to go.
Random Student- Hey, Look over there!....(Jack and Mark look) I think someone got thier leg broken....possibly both of them
(Jack looks closely at the person being carried and realizes with shock that its...)
Jack- ANNE!
(Anne, still hurting but relieved enough to look up sees Jack)
(Jack-ANNE!)
(and the scene slowly diminishes into white)
(End of first episode)
