hah!! that was one hell of an experience picking a random anime and starting to watch it.. - i got no clue what 'Sekaiichi Hatsukoi' means -though i just finished watching (because i don't like to drop any once i start watching).

PINK!! SPARKLES!! FLOWERS!! - a lot of it in there. If you like that kind then proceed also only if you can tolerate shonen-ai

__________
The set..

consists of young professionals working in a publishing company - there are 3 story arcs.

boys working on shojo manga(basically all pink flowers and sparkles) - and the general public has the impression that it is usually girls who are working on shojo manga.

I turns out most of these male coworkers hit on each other, even though there are enough female coworkers around. How can that ever be !! except in a manga - ofcourse the interesting part is that you get to see them toil over manga production.

____________
Characters..

characters make a story of their love life..
What you get see are a set of characters who are all:

- damn good at misunderstanding themselves and each other.

- have a hard time accepting themselves and each other.

Many times i felt like taking a baseball bat and try hit sense into some particular characters!! - well i don't really know even is that ignorant behavior was supposed to be part of the charm - if yes.. i wanna make sure i don't wanna watch one like this ever again.

There were atleast 2 straightforward characters: Takano(main), and well i can't remember the other one (not main).

_________
Humor..

The only good part.. I did laugh my head off at times.. thanks to the office scenes and work related issues - involving the main characters: boss and rookie (takano and onedaro) -- that was well done, i guess that's a part this show scores well in.

________
Artwork..

well not bad -- it's studio Deen - i kinda know what to expect, i m ok with it in this one too.

Overall -
it was a shocking experience to watch such romance in all pink and glitter(new to this kinda anime)
- and i think i could tolerate this series only because - wen it's " love" - i have come to terms in accepting those people however they behave. duh.

So ideally i shouldn't even be writing a review of this.

Anime Relations: Byousoku 5 Centimeter
It is a very quiet story.

'5cm per second' is a moment of thought between Akari and Takaki starting as childhood friends who spent a lot of time with each other. They tried their best to stay in touch after their families relocated, as seasons changed and as they grew up.
Life moves on but 'first love never dies within'? Even though each happened to live farther apart as they grew up.
We see the story through Takaki most of the time and particular moments of thought passes his mind - strong nostalgia,..

Towards the end, when they were grown ups, destiny acknowledges the love--why, how-- In a kind of mysterious way their paths cross "just for a moment" thats all - without a chance to really meet - it just triggers 'nostalgia' and 'hope' - in both- that's perhaps a fine enough acknowledgement - perhaps it is a love that is to be treasured and so buried forever?

The art is good. I liked the depiction of climate, scenery and the view of the sky was splendid. The music was quiet for a quiet story.

For a work of this kind you should just enjoy the beauty and the feelings and not think about the plot.

----------------------------
((( But they eventually lost contact and it is frustrating that they really should have used their brains somewhere to stay in touch. But can't help it, they were still growing up and probably they couldn't figure out a better way.)))
okay, one relief is they did meet in between..now that's a milestone!
(much later, they had mobile phones too!! but no contact number?!)
