Anime Relations: Bleach

I notice that a lot of people have a bad opinion on filler episodes in anime, such as hot spring visits, amusement park visits, etc. I understand how they can be excessive and annoying, but I tend to like them sometimes. They're usually funny, and sometimes I can use a good laugh, especially in a serious show. My problem is when a long running shonen like Fairy Tail or Bleach make entire anime exclusive arcs so they dont get too close to the manga storyline, or for other reasons. They are long, and they're not always good. My main problem is that I know that nothing that happens during the episodes will effect the overall plot, character, or powers in anyway. It just feels like a waste of time. Like in Bleach which I mentioned earlier make a very long running arc about vampire things called bounts, and I thought it was boring, repetitive, and pointless.
