Once again The Generation of Miracle reunited in a team named Vorpal Sword, with some of additional team players. It should be something every Kuroko No Basuke’s fans dream come true to witness it since it never really showed in its anime series.

Started with some of common premise, a typical challenge game, Kagetora Aida challenge an America basketball team Jabbawocker who underestimate Japanesse Basketball player’s style. So Aida formed Vorpal Sword with Kuroko Tetsuya and Kagami Taiga and other member of The Generation of Miracle. It’s actually a simple premise. And come up as an simple basketball game too. Somehow, the result is predictable and we won’t really as surprise to witness extraordinary basketball skills of every player, nor Vorpa Sword players or Jabbawocker players.

There wasn’t much shocking moment or twist during the game but yeah, it is pretty intense and fast. But, comparing with the anime series, you got more thrill feeling in its anime series than this movie. Extraordinary skills that keep improving, the emotion of winning and losing, more or less it’s just like the anime series, nothing is new or surprising. But, it’s a nice story to close the whole Kuroko No Basuke anime series (if it’s really going to be their last game).

Anime Relations: Bakemonogatari
First of all, I am not a fan of Monogatari, to be very honest I decided to watch it because it mentioned vampire and oddity events.

First thing I noticed about this anime is its aesthetic art. It’s definitely something and artsy. They add some montage, even a real life human portrait. Some of texts that moving so fast u can’t even read. Also how they created angle in every scene. For the first few of episodes, I see it as a good anime with interesting art. But, the more I’m into the story, it’s actually pretty boring. You’ll get wonted with the extraordinary art technic they’ll repeat in every episode. But it didn’t come up with a good story.

It’s a typical harem anime with ordinary main male character. Koyomi Araragi, as the main character should be more stand out with his background as a high school student who survived vampire attack and has self-healing abilities and enhanced vision. His characteristic is just flat and unreasonable over kind-hearted. I don’t get the point how Araragi could extremely tolerant to every human being even someone he just meet or even someone that try to put him in harm. And I’m not really sure that he truly in love with his girlfriend, Hitagi Senjougahara. She’s just another girl he saved and fortunately she was the first one. Araragi treat the others girl just the same.

This anime also a perfect harem anime with various female characters: Adorable Tsundere, Tomboy Lesbian Girl, Innocent girl, Little girl you can called little sister, Smart girl with glasses, etc. I should say the female character’s design is pretty interesting, each of them has a special personality to make them stand out, but way too eccentric to make balance with a flat main male character.

Overall, Bakemonogatari could be enjoyable anime for harem lover but not for audiences who more into oddity or supernatural events. It has an aesthetic art but doesn’t supported with a good storyline.

After watched it for view first episodes, this type of sport anime reminds me of Captain Tsubasa. It takes sport to another level, in other word, it contain with exaggeration. I won’t say it ridiculous or nonsense, but I bet some of anime audience that into real sport anime would say that Kuroko no Basuke isn’t a good sport anime. If I compared it to the real basketball play, I would say it’s unrealistic. This anime didn’t real add so much information about basketball, I mean like, some basketball professional technique or strategy in realistic way. It’s way too imaginative. And I don’t think that’s a main message that this anime wants to bring up in story board.
Teikou Junior High School’s basketball team is crowned champion three years in a row thanks to five outstanding players with breathtaking and unique skills. However, after graduating, these team mates known as “The Generation of Miracles”, go to separate ways and consider each other as rivals. There’s this sixth phantom that was also a part of “The Generation of Miracles” named Tetsuya Kuroko. Behind all the admiration and spotlight over how great is “The Generation of Miracles”, Kuroko thought, the team mates was missing something. He don’t like the way his team played basketball. With Kagami Taiga and the rest of team mates of Seirin High School Basketball’s Club, Kuroku wanted to beat all of “The Generation of Miracles” with his own style of basketball. With that storyline, it really match the title (Kuroko no Basuke; Basketball Which Kuroko Play) That’s something that this anime wants to bring up. It would be about how to grow together in a team and some value of hard work and how never to give up to improve yourself. It’s more into morality value than such thing like basketball strategy and technique.
The storyline is well-written, it has a good story developing. I find it interesting and the story makes us keep on track because we will curious about what would happen next. Kuroko as the main character also has a good character developing. We might see him as the weakest on the first scene but, you’ll be surprised how he keep on improving his skill on basketball with his unique ability. Also how Kuroko affected the rest of prodigy players, they will always improving their ability and made every game different and more difficult to beat.
To be honest, I enjoy this anime in another way. I found it very funny how they exaggerating the players abilities. It’s entertaining though. In some point it really does remind me of Captain Tsubasa with his Eagle Kick weapon. Yeah, this anime is way too imaginative for basketball play but hey, it’s fun to watch. It’s a fiction story, I think it’s fine to make it unrealistic and imaginative. Just watch it like you watch The Avengers or Power Rangers (I mean, every characters with colored hairs must be have super power in basketball hahaha)

Anime Relations: Death Note
I'm into anime and such thing because of my best friends. And our friendship also started because of it. Because of Death Note Vol.7.

It was our first day after orientation day in High School. I was just entering the class and sit by myself alone. I have no friends yet. Until i saw this girl, was sitting alone behind me and read Death Note Vol.7. Once i really want to read this manga but i can't effort the comic. So, i dare myself to say hi and asked if i can borrow the comic. As simple as that, she said yes and offered the whole volume to me to be borrowed. It was a contract between us as a everlasting best friend. Lol. I always like this story about how we made a friendship. Sorry for being sentimental. But, it's just so sweet and cool for me how one of legendary manga started our legendary friendship ^^
