Scoring system

10, Emotionally moving, visually appealing, and/or a staple of the medium. Little to no inconsistencies or personal greivances with any aspects of the show. Has rewatch and sharing value.

9, Memorable, impactful, transcends just "watching" anime for the shits and giggles and actually leaves you with introspection. A quick rule of thumb is that if the time spent watching the show could not have been spent better it's a 9.

8, A show of surprising quality and/or consistency. Usually, a baseline of the technical and written standard is needed for this rating. Anything above this means I liked it enough to remember it.

7, Your average show in that if it's seasonal, it's forgettable with some critical flaws if one were to rewatch it. Usually given to shows I need to rewatch to form stronger opinions on.

6, Inconsistent in its quality: some episodes may be stellar while the rest pure drivel. Differs from a 5 in that it was enjoyable to watch. Run-of-the-mill.

5, Painful to sit through or snooze inducing: either the result of a poor adaptation or one part of the show that is infuriating beyond a two-sentence description

4, Only a single aspect of the show saves it from a 3

3, Aspects of the show (plot, characters, visuals, dialogue, themes) break down entirely to the point of parody: beyond here it's so bad that it's good.

2, At this point, I can only hate myself for spending time watching this mess

1, I will never rate a show a 1 unless it is for a joke.
