My Rating System
First off I just want to say some will disagree with the way I rate shows and might say I am just a fanboy to some shows like the main stream shounens and that I am just giving them a 10 to jack up the overal rating on MAL, which is not the case at all
Okay! Here is my Rating System!
10 = Well a 10 to me is something that I just really enjoy/enjoyed a great deal. A 10 rating to me doesn't really mean I would watch the show again just means I really loved watching it the one time I watched it. If you look at my list you will see the main stream shounens on there (Naruto, Bleach, Hitman Reborn, ect.) will be 10's and that doesn't mean I think they are the greatest things of all time it just means that I truely do enjoy watching them and I love the day that a new episode comes out.
9 - 8 = Well these shows were also enjoyable to me but during a point in the show I either got bored a little or it just didn't leave the impact that a show would give me to get a 10.
7 - 6 = These are shows that didn't give enough enjoyable times during my viewing time to get a 8+. Usually a 7 doesn't mean I disliked the show just means it either didn't reach my expectations or just had to many points in the show where I was sitting watching but thinking about something else. The 6 rating is usually the lowest I go when rating shows. This rating to me means that about 75% of the show was just not enjoyable to me.
5 = As I stated with 7 - 6, 6 is the lowest I usually go with my ratings. But if you look at my list I do have one 5 and that is for the show School Days. The reason that I gave this show a 5 which is lower than my usual low is because I just didn't enjoy the show at all. There was no point in the show that I was enjoying it or I was happy to be watching it. And after reading that you will probably say well why didn't you just drop it. Well I will explain that at the end.
4 - 1 = Don't expect to see any of these ratings on my list. This is probably be where people will go, "WTF, why don't you give these ratings." And to that I will say I just don't think anything really deserves to receive a rating this low and that is my opinion. I know others have a different opinion, so please don't bash on my opinion because as I am stating it is my opinion and I will do the same back and not bash on your opinion.
There are other shows on my list that I don't have a rating at all for and that is because I watched it to long ago and I just don't remember enough of the show to give it a rating.
And if you look at my list you will see I don't and will not drop something. Even if it takes me away to complete something I will never drop it. This is only because I am on of those people that need to know what happens at the end of something or else it will aggravate and annoy me to no end. Even if the show is just unbarable to watch I will not drop it because I will suffer more from not knowing what happend at the end then I would have while watching the show itself. And that is why I didn't drop School Days while I was watching it. As much as I just didn't enjoy the show I still needed to know how it ended.
